I had it set to Eastern time (-5) I always have, but everything was an hour off. I make a post at 4, it shows as 3:00. So I figure I'll just change the time to -4 instead of -5. It decides to make the time of that post into 5:00.

Basically, I cannot get the time to set to Eastern, only Central and Atlantic (I think that's what the next zone East of Eastern is).

Help?

Well, I think the question comes down to: what time did you make this post? It shows up for me as around 4:00 (16:00), and mine should show up at around 5:00 (17:00) for EST.

I'm going to check what it shows up as after this gets posted... expect an edit in a minute.

My time shows up correctly and I'm using "GMT -5:00 Eastern Time (US & Canada), Bogota, Lima".

Check the daylight savings settings, that throws it out an hour.

Didn't know they existed....

Which setting do I want?

Automatically detect DST settings
DST corrections always on
DST corrections always off

Mine is on Automatic right now.

Mine is on Automatic too and it's fine but try switching it to corrections always on (I just did and it's still fine) see if that works. If not, turn them to always off.

If nothing works, then someone with the powers to change it might have to do it I don't know.
