Searching...60 seconds

Argh! This is pissing me off... Is it my connection or I can't search? It isn't reloading and I hate waiting another 1 minute each time. Is there a way to remove it?

If I remember correctly it was implemented because searching slows down the forums for everyone. 60 seconds wont kill you...Then again Libertine might see this and decide to lower the time limit between searches. You never know.

Why do you need to search so much? I search like once a month.

For some reason, when I search "socom white page", the page cannot display.

From a few quick test searches that I did, any time you put socom first in the search it can't be displayed for some reason. It did let me put socom last. "white pages socom" It could just be a coincidence, I only tried a few searches.

The Socom3.com White Pages

It could be using keyword order as criteria in the search.

Simply put, with "socom white pages" it searches everything that has "socom" in it and then checks those returns for "white" and then "pages".

With "white pages socom", it doesn't look for "socom" until it finds "white" and "pages".

So that could explain why "socom white pages" times out, because there're a gajillion threads with "socom" in it.

I'd be willing to bet that's the problem, because that's how I'd write a search routine.
