I had my entire team, including myself, killed by those godd@m snipers. I always do exactly what you said, but then i run out to deploy the smoke and my entire team follows. All of us got picked off by those guys, one by one.

When you get up on the roof, place Jester on Overlook(or maybe it's Overview. Can't remember). He'll take care of the snipers. I always give him a sniper rifle.

your team mates dont all have to be alive and the snipers dont have to be killed (my fav missions brovo normaly bites the dust

The snipers do suck pretty bad, but eventually if you can't find them they might kill the hostages, they did for me. So I got my team in the defensive position and told them to cover the door, then I sit back and wait till she talks about the heat signals or whatever on the buildings, and take them out with my M40. Your team does all the work if you tell them, but they are incredibly stupid and may end up randomly following you. If they do that you have to get them back in position and you may get killed because of it.

my tactic would be that once you get the 2 hostages you then run up to the roof with them and go up onto the helipad and tell the vip's to ''hold position'' and then ''get down'' because the snipers cant shoot the vip's. you should then send bravo unit to the door to stop anybody from comein in an then you just stand at the bit of the roof looking down on the front entrance and pick off guards comen through there. after the ten minutes are up you tell the team to follow you back to the helipad and you deploy a few red smokes when JESTER tells you to and then the helicopter comes and picks you up.
the snipers are not a problem to you because they are such a bad shot so just leave them be and then maybe someone in your team will kill them. here is my chosen weapon set for All your team on this mission

Wow...I just put the hostages in the extraction point on the roof, make Bravo Element watch the door, put Vandal overwatching the hostages, and I watch the stairs from that dome window. And you don't have to take out the snipers. Plus, if you run outta ammo. Rush downstairs into the garage and go into the kitchen. There's an M60 and M4 ammo. Also, for a bonus objective, blow up the radio in the room on top of the stairs that's in the kitchen.

get the hostages and go up to the roof and camp out on the platform to the left of the entrance to the roof. wait there for the ten minutes and then deploy the red smoke. it takes like another 1 or 2 minutes for the copter to come but dont worry it will eventually be there, just sit tight in that corner

Helpful hint....Don't change their weapons, Im sure some of you guys have changed it so that you all had like m60's or m16's. Doesn't work in most cases. You know how tha game juss gives you weapons to begin with, that their is a good idea beacause they do this fer their strenghs of the guys with tha guns .Excellent Idea.

It works...So wat I did was reach tha embassy. Put em Vips on tha roof juss to the left behind that big structure. Told em to hold. Rushed down to right across the main stairs so I have a clear view of where they run up the stairs. I had my crew to my right Hold Position and Fire at Will.
Myself was right in tha middle with my m16 =)

Works lemme tell ye.

I've had that glitche happen to me a few times.Try not putting the hostages in the extraction zone until after its time to extract. :)
