lol i fianlly beat the level and the game i made this post one of the biggest things aalso for single pplayer thx for all the help guys all i had o do was go righrtt on the srat and deploy tthe smoke so thx all

you can tell your bravo team to hold position towards the right of the top mdoor outside. then tell the vips to stay behind the air vent. while you with your gun stays by the xtraction back stairs. your bravo team does mostof the work . oh ya give jester and sr-25-sd and when the snipers come tell him to overlook. oh ya also when your bravo team says they are going to hed toward your position just simmply tell them to hold position again. if they keep doing that it means that you are to far away from your bravo team so get a little clloser to them

when you get to the door leading to the roof on the right side will be stairs and thats where you extract tell the two people the get down in the corner and stand at the top of the stairs and kill any terrorist and when skytop says he'll get you in 20 secs wait 20 secs and deploy the red smokes in the area your at

the best way is to find the 2 people, and make your defence point for the 10 minutes on the roof, because if you tell your team to cover the stairwell exit, anyone who comes up it won't last long. after your 10 minutes are up, the chopper will radio telling you that thier eta 20 secs. you then order your fire team and the hostages to the extract (i forget exactly what nav point its is). when jester says "i think we should deply the red smoke, do so. the chopper will say "i see your red smoke" and then the mission will be complete in a couple of seconds. I had that same problim, hope it helps.

the problem with the first part of that is as the time gets closer to 0:00, the intensity of the terrorist rushing the stairwell increases. when this happens, for me, bravo starts to slowly make their way into the stairwell until eventualy they are going toe-to-toe with all the other hostages and eventualy get taken out. if i bring them back, then terrorist still manage to make it out to the roof and start shooting people because the AI for your own team mates is dumb on this game.

you have to throw them where the hostages are in the extraction area..

you cant just throw them anywhere on the roof

maybe thtas it.

Hey I got the same problem as Kee. I've been trying to beat "Against the Tide " for quite some time. I get to the roof OK, place the guys so all the terrorists get smoked as they come through the door, take out the snippers when they warn you of them, move everyone to the extraction point when the helicopter is inbound. The problem is after the pilot says he is 20 seconds away and a team member says deploy smoke, I can't!!! I've stood every where that has been previously suggested, have the hostages on the star but I can't even deploy smoke. Does it come up as a red prompt when you stand some where? Also, some times once I've left the hostages in the corner then come back I can't establish comms with them again!!!!! Any ideas?

Interesting! I've never had the problem. There is no, on screen prompt, to show you where to toss the smoke from. I've tossed it from a couple of different places. Just for the heck of it, try and toss one of the red smokes, somewhere else in the game. You'll have plenty left over. Maybe that'll trigger something, to let you toss them, at the right time.

Hey thanks I hadn't tried that. But when I have tried to deploy red smoke on the roof all I have in my inventory is frag and bang. But I'll give your idea a go. Thanks again and I'll let you know how it goes.
