Oblivion help please

Hi there, I am playing oblivion and I am stuck inside the painting where you need to get the paintbrush back to exit. I am having trouble killing the painted trolls and was wondering if there is a trick to it. I have used the turpentine but cant kill them without using 2 per troll. I can get the brush but cant find the bloke to help me. Do I have to kill all 6 and does magic work against them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Apply a bottle of [turps] to your weapon of choice to add extra damage to the
Painting Trolls and continue on down the path.

As you kill off the Painted Trolls reapply the Turpentine to the weapon and
search the body for a rare and very valeuable Painted Troll Fat. After you kill
off the six Painted Trolls head over to the corpse of the thief and search him
for the Brush of Truepaint. Head back over to Rythe Lythandas and give him the
brush so he can paint a door and get out of there.

After you head through he will follow you through.

Man, 1st of all, if you play oblivion on the normal difficulty, it is harder than a motherf**ker. Your doing it the right way, or at least the only way I know how to do it, I guess you just got to change up your tactics. try running in circles or shootin arrows or something. The only other advice is take the difficulty down a bit then when you finish you can return it to normal.

Man there are so many cheap ways to fight in Oblivion depending on the type of character you're using. Especially when you are fighting slow-moving enemies.

Thanks for the help guys but I managed to getout. I used 2 lots of turps on 3 of the trolls (making sure one of them was the troll just in front of the thief) Then I got the paintbrush from the thief and luckily I had a sroll of invisibility to sneak past the other trolls until I found the painter and he painted the exit. I still did not manage to kill a troll without using turps although I fired 40 arrows int one and used about 35 fire bolts into the same troll and he did not die ( even though that did more damage than 2 turps!!!) I dont understand that but I guess painted trolls are not harmed by spells. Hope this helps anyone else who may be stupid like me and get stuck in the painting without any other back up saves................ The moral. Have more than one save.....

That always has to be learned the hard way haha. I can't even count the amount of saves I have JUST INCASE.
