Seeing as how this is a PS3 exclusive, it would be best for it to be in the Sony section.
And personally speaking, I am not interested in playing this game... personally, I think the main character looks like a tool running around with his right arm extended like a lunatic spider, or some odd sh*t.
Can't wait for the demo to launch, so I can gauge the game for myself. The main character still runs around like a hopped up insect to me... I dunno what it is exactly, but the animation kinda bothers me in a sense.
G4TV/X-Play conducted a pretty lengthy interview with Sucker Punch's co-founder and lead programmer, Bruce Oberg. Basically, he discusses the game's morals system, the challenges revolving creating controls that figure out what the player wants to do, and why they pushed up the release date.
After watching this video, I must say that I am more interested in the game... but being able to play a demo of some sort would sure make my decision making easier.
I almost can't wait until May 8th, when I can redeem the code that I got yesterday for the inFamous demo... just gotta play it, so I can see if it'll be worth playing the retail version.
OPM gave it a 9. They don't rate games that high either. Everyone says, "omg lulz OPM is biased", but they are usually in the range of just about every other reviewer.
I dunno... they both seem pretty similar to me. All open world kind of games seem kinda similar to me, though.
I've been hearing good things about Prototype, to be honest... I was verrrrrrry tempted to put a $5 deposit down on it the other day after hearing more about it. And seeing as how Batman: Arkham Asylum has been delayed, I am going to need a good game (or two) to occupy my time on my PS3 between June and August.
I can hardly wait another two days to play the inFamous demo, though... I'm kinda hoping that my original thoughts of the game get turned around in a more positive way. As it stands right now, it's either this or Prototype for my PS3 collection.
I think the one thing that will turn off some people away from the game, is the comic book approach, while sadly, Prototype will appeal to them more just because of the "BLUDS AND GUTZZZZ". Not saying that is how you feel, but I could imagine a lot of people feeling that way.
What worries me about prototype, was an interview I saw awhile back. The guy listed off the type of missions. Which makes me believe that it is going to have a shitty Assassins Creed approach. Just rinse and repeats missions throughout the whole game.
You can't be too interested in it if you can't get your games straight. :p
I don't care much about Prototype. Just seems like a mindless destruction game. Infamous just seems to have more substance.
when you see screens they both look pretty much the same. Guy with pants and a jacket running around. alot of people have confused these games when they see screens.
Substance or not, you can elbow drop a fucking tank. A TANK! its not the blood and gore factor that reels people in for prototype, its the open world and sheer amount of things you can do. Running up buildings and doing all types of maneuvers with tons of moves is just exhilarating. Check it out

this went through perfectly! didn't think it would happen.
Wow... pretty fricken cool demo, if you ask me. My opinion of the game has done a complete 180 degree turn... I can't believe I have been playing the game until damn near 4am CST, and I'm setting my alarm so I can wake up in a few hours and reserve myself a copy of the game.
The way Cole's appearance and powers look when he's infamous (evil karma) is downright eerie... skating across power lines and the electric train tracks is another cool feature to the game... then there's the fact that he might in fact be more agile than everyone's favorite assassin, Altair. Bottom line is, I think the game has some damn smooth ass controls... smooth like silk.
All things considered, the game's a must-own for me... now I'm just hoping that Prototype will be able to live up to the hype surrounding it. After playing the inFAMOUS demo for a few hours, I now believe that it will live up to or exceed its own hype.
