Ok, I have been playing socom since the release of Socom 1.
I just wanted to get that out the way.
I just got my ps3 a week ago, and i want to know how do you know if you have progressed on a trophy? how can i tell that i have gotten so and so kills with the cirtain amount of guns?
also.. what does it take to rank up? are non-respawn rooms considered ranked rooms?

Within the game, if you go to Records and Awards, you can see the progress of each and every trophy/medal given as percentage. For instance, the Purple Heart medal requires that you have 50 kill assists. Having 25 kill assists will show 50% of the bar for that requirement filled up. Each separate requirement for any award has its own percentage bar.

It is impossible to rank up unless you are in a clan. Once you are in a clan, just keep playing ranked games to rank up.

These trophies are impossible. I hate Slant Six. I've only played Socom once since the patch
I agree with you... although, I think I've maybe played the game two or three times since the most recent patch. I remember the lag being totally unbearable on that first day the highly anticipated patch was released.
Almost made me feel like I was playing the game over a dial-up connection.

I think its great that they made it hard to get the trophies and games seem to get recorded accurately. the game plays fairly well when pussies are not constantly leaving the game b/c they cant get a kill in the first 3 rounds. hopefully this tuneup patch that is due out soon will do the final trick minus the clan ladders and DLC of course.
aww.. you really dont have to tell everyone about your *** hurt feelings about slant six.. this has to be the best socom since socom 1.
Best SOCOM since SOCOM 1? I don't think many people would agree with that. SOCOM 2 would be the best one since the original. Anyways if any of you haven't played in a while I haven't had any problems playing online.
