Good for MGS4. Obviously a candidate in most GOTY awards, but most went to that completely overhyped GTAIV. The reviewers got caught up in the launch hype and gave the game ridiculous scores, and now they think they must justify the scores by given it GOTY and not look like a complete ***.
Look at Gametrailers as an example.
GOTY: GTAIV
360 GOTY: GTAIV
PS3 GOTY: GTAIV
PC GOTY: They said it would have been GTAIV if it ran better.
MGS4 is the only MGS game I've ever played, and I can quite honestly say it deserves the title.
In my opinion, GTAIV is the most over hyped game in gaming history. Not that it was a bad game, it just didn't deliver like previous GTA titles have done.
LBP could have won game of the year if more people would get past the "it's a kids game" generalisation.

****ing sell outs, lol.
Gametrailers, a bunch of sell outs? No; Never! (ah, if only there was a way to insert the impossibly thick sarcasm my voice contains into that text...)
Ign's awards for the PS3 and PC weren't bad at all. I didn't like gamespot since they really didn't give all that much credit to Little Big Planet or Fallout 3, or rather not as much as I believed they should have. I mean, they were barely nominated...

Don't get me wrong I think Fallout 3 is a fun and enjoyable game, but it's not worth GOTY. I think the freezes (I once had 4 in one hour) and simple glitches that could have easily been fixed took away from the game. It would get my vote for GOTY if it ran smoother, and the storyline was at least enjoyable to complete.

True. You think they could have at least worked on the walking animations a bit more.
With a game as LARGE as Fallout 3, in programmers defense, it has to be hard to perfect every little thing by release date.
It's a straight forward game too following in the general footsteps of Oblivion so walking animations wasn't necessary because the main focus of the game is the story and gameplay itself.

This is true and all, but the same glitches were around in Oblivion. Plus, too many things were shared between the two. Of course this isn't a bad thing at all, but maybe different animations, voice actors, and an option to kill those damn annoying kills would of helped Fallout 3 against MGS4.
