I totally agree with that list, but I don't want Airstrikes. That is too COD for me, and this is SOCOM. Keep it that way.
Didn't two of the levels in Socom 2 have an airstrike of some sort? They were both breach. One was in the desert, and the Terrorists had a radio in their base that called in a helicopter. The other was in a city in South America. The SEALs could call an airstike over one of two locations (left side or right side), taking out most (if not all) breach points on that side.

They did, I will give you that. But they could only be called once in a round. It's not like in COD where if you get a five kill streak you get one.
If the airstrikes were like those two (the ones I mentioned), I wouldn't really mind (you only get one, so you gots to be careful). If they were CoD4 style, I'd be leaning more towards the "this is a no-no" side of the fence.

The lag was simply because Sony didn't expect all the fans coming to play this game.
No... I think the lag is due to the fact that the game's being played on a *free* online network, but you're entitled to your own opinion, of course.
For the developers to just "have no idea" that this game was going to be that popular is just a cheap cop-out, if you ask me. It was completely stupid on their part to think otherwise...

I am going to say I really don't think the online is so bad because of the *free* service as you speak of. I have been playing my rented Call of Duty: World at War online for the past week or so, and I have noticed NO Lag whatsoevver with this title. hat is with upwards for 70,000 online at any given time. Yet, SOCOM has around 20,000 and it lags hardcore. I don't think we can fully blame the online service for this.
at this point i wish this game didnt have the socom name in it. this game was meant to revive the socom series, bring back the good times but its failed. Sony has been careless giving such a big series to a bunch of untested donkeys that cant programme and fix issues if their life depended on it. The sad thing is, these clowns set their own release dates, kept creating new deadlines for the game but couldnt achieve their own standards. They made their goals, re-adjusted them but still released a half assed game. MAG has destroyed SOCOM imo..zipper could do much better than this. That monkey Seth deserves to be fired, and slant six shouldnt make a ps3 game again...go back to psp, ps3 game development is beyond their ability.
Btw while this game isnt good at the moment, it has potential to be a great game in the future. But its inexcusable to release a game that is really in beta

It is more or less S6 using crappier servers than IW does for COD. WIth PSN the developers still control the servers, not Sony, so any lag isssues is [typically] the fault of them.
HEHE... my brother showed me this "review" video a few days ago, and I thought it was pretty damn funny. It kind of helped me take this game with a huge grain of salt, and realize that I am not the only one who has harsh feelings about this game.
I guess so... even my wife thought it actually sounded like Hank Hill, and she heard me listening to it from the other room. Regardless, it's pretty funny commentary on the game... even if it's not the "real" Hank Hill.
LMAO... yeah, even though it wasn't the real character voices in the video, I still found it was pretty damn hilarious. Most of this guy's other Socom videos are pretty damn vulgar... vulgar, but true.
