Aside from the first day or two the game was out, I have not had many problems. The servers go in and out with how well they work, so I just play late. I haven't saw any phantom dudes, as Omega put it (Lol), and the only few problems are how it isn't like the past SOCOMs, like the controller lay out.
I think the game is incredible. Overall they have done a very good job. There are a few small features that I wish were different, especially joining from friends list, the scoreboard, quick swap, viewing game details and maybe a couple others. But the gameplay is very good. I haven't been sniped at the beginning of a round from across the map yet! That is a plus. The snipers that I talk to (I am definitely not one) say that sniping is more difficult and I think that might be my favorite feature.
So don't play, thats one less person to clog up the servers.
Should we only speak of positives about this game on here ? If that's the case then Socom: Confrontation shouldn't have it's own section to clog up on these Forums .

Just gets a little tired after awhile, specially people cryin about it yet keep playing...
i forgot how tense i can get playing sometimes, like last night we were playing extraction on fallen i think it was, either that or kasbah. i was merc and guarding the 2 hostages we had left and there were like 4 seals running all around me talking to me trying to get me to pop out. my team ended up winning but afterwards i thought to myself how much that reminded me of old school desert glory and fish hook.
long story short....i love this game more each and every time i play it
I've been hearing rumors that this "problem" is going to be addressed with the upcoming patch... please remember, I said rumor.

I'll be sooooo happy if they have an upgraded version of Fish Hook for download... I'd be happy as a motherf***er. I think they did a great job with the additions made on Desert Glory... that's definitely one of my favorite maps, dating back to the Socom 1 days.
I hope they fix the god damned reload too. There's no reason why every little thing should interrupt and stop the reload process. It's ridiculous.
Everytime I get in a firefight and I have to reload but the reload keeps stopping, I swear it gives me a good idea what it must feel like to be one of those Pandas that won't screw to save their own species.
Not to mention, my game still randomly freezes from time to time during any given session... I'm just glad that it didn't happen during the mock 5v5 clan war that we were matched up in the other night. My brother who lives a few blocks away from me was not so lucky... he was booted twice during that clan war... lol... he sounded so pissed after the second time... lol.
A friend of mine and I still contend that this game would be so much better if it was played over Xbox Live. Sadly, it is not... it's being featured on the free network.

Well at least we can pick sides when joining late now.

Hence why I prefer shooters on my 360. Paying for the service, so it runs smoother, better mic quality. Things you need to play a shooter. Although R2 hasn't been bad. Some lag here and there, but relatively unnoticeable most of the time.
I went out and bought a ps3 to play socom when it first came out. Overall it's about as close to socom II as we'll ever get and I've been pretty satisfied with that. Obviously it's major downfall is still the random disconnects but lately I havent felt so afraid to grab the mic which was causing a lot of them. Besides that I miss jumpclimbing and dive proning among other smaller gameplay issues. Only major things that truely bother me are how easily reloads are stopped(walking across uneven ground that causes my guy to 'fall' in spots is the worst).. I already had to switch to the 6 shooter preset to avoid pressing down the left stick and knifing/jumping. Along with this they NEED to add some way for us to switch our guns for the opposite side before the teams switch. I am -always- stuck with a SASR on kasbah/frostfire after playing the terrorist side FIRST on the previous map. I'd probably give the game a 7/10 tops until they really get into adding fixes & more material.
