Alright...but the gameplay is unmatched in it's genre. Best Wipeout game, and best futuristic racing game.
It is just awesome.
I actually prefer Extreme G over Wipeout, but Wipeout is pretty friggin' awesome. I downloaded it last night, and it's very similar to Extreme G. With Wipeout HD being next-gen, however, it has plenty more features (better than XGRA) that will keep me satisfied.
I was playing Wipeout on the PS3 the other day. I warn you now, playing zone while in a "different" state of mind is stupidly intense. haha I nearly threw up. Great game though, especially for a tenner.
I guess as a gift to people in Australia, they are giving this game away for free just for signing up for PSN. All you have to do is make an account from Australia and they will email you a code to download this game for free. I am going to try this tonight when I get home.
***Edit***
I read the article wrong it's Austria not Australia. Either way if someone tries this let me know if it works.
An example of afterimage separation can be seen when taking a quick 180 degree turn in a game in only 1 second. A still object in the game would render 60 times evenly on that 180 degree arc (at 60 Hz frame rate), and visibly this would separate the object and its afterimage by 3 degrees. A small object and its afterimage 3 degrees apart are quite noticeably separated on screen.
Well I never noticed.
Maybe I should pay more attention.
