That really is quite a horrid plan and would never play out as you come off as a psychotic ex-convict SoggyMilk.
As for the idea of a Metal Gear Solid movie, I think it's an excellent idea. Hideo has never cared how many people play his game, just that he gets it out and some people love it.
I think to ease the general populus into the franchise they would need to base the first movie off of Snake Eater, since it features the least technology/omg wtf happened there moments. Big Boss is an excellent protagonist and did I mention he looks ****ing cool?
Hopefully, if this movie is remotely successful and people want more, then you can start going the route of Sons of Liberty or perhaps even the Metal Gear Series.
The possibilities are endless, they just have to put the right amount of time into production, story and most of all the way they get the word out. I think it could be a big hit if everything is done right of course.

.
MGS1 does have this quite unusual problem that the storyline is too big to fit into a 2hr movie. It completely contradicts the normal film-making norms, where script writers have to elongate single line stories to somehow fill in 2 hrs . The rapid pace of events could turn some people off. Snake eater again has the problem that there's no SNAKE in there, what's it then ?
Then again, in MGS1 there were no "OMG,WTF" Moments, except PyschoMantis probably ?. At the end of the movie the idea that controllable nano-machines were the real cause of the hallucinations is still enough, or they could drop PsychoMantis altogether ?
An 'equilibrium' kind of movie feel is essential to be retained from start. There should be a lot of political plothera thrown in. It must add to the viewer's belief that MGS is speaking of the world that was hidden from our common sense, where political manipulation and conspiracies rule the roost. Nuclear weapons, Bio-engineering, cloning, super-soldiers , war for economic interests......... If the viewer immediately gets the feel that this is the real stinky world that we are really in , and this is what this movie's gonna talk about ,there are no WTF moments anymore !!!! ......
So , as someone said before , it's a really great watch for both your eyes and your brain if they put the right amount of time into production, story and most of all the way they get the word out.
However , i still dont get the idea of how they could bring up a Hitman ,Prince of persia, or a Gears of war movie and not this ???
If they did make a movie they would have to keep it seperate from the game like Resident Evil movies. Make it a movie timeline and tie it into the timeline of the games. That way the movies won't conflict with the games.
Also not all movies from games work very well........look at DOA or Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead....oooh and Mortal Kombat 2 and I can go on....Street Fighter, etc.

Can he direct a film ? I would appreciate if he was the script writer. I dont want some other jackass to spoil the story.
What kind of question is that?
Of course Kojima can direct a film! Have you not played a single Metal Gear Solid game? They all play out like movies themselves.
And yes, the bit about a jackass spoiling the story is true. Kojima can be the only one to write the story. My other demand is Hayter must play Snake. I don't think anyone can pull off that voice.

I always thought that was a rather low profile move.
As a matter of fact, has anyone noticed the cast of the upcoming Prince of Persia Movie ? Heavyweights like Jake Gyllenhaal , Ben Kingsley, Alfred Molina are there. They are really hopeful that it will turn into a mega-franchise similiar to the Pirates of the Caribbean.
They could always sub the guy's voice with Hayter's.
agreed! I was playing Acid the other day .. and something was just missing from it... then I realized.. hm no snake voice.. and it bothered me.. thats sad and all but...
Snake = David Hayter...
@ least thats how it is in my mind.. but yea... I really hope that kojima is involved greatly... so that snake doesnt end up being a high school student and Raiden in his g/f..
dear god...*coughdragonballcough* I mean this movie can reallly rock! ( which is most likely wont... T_T) or suck balls... idk I think they would go with another fukked up storyline with a bunch of explosions and nakkid chicks in it... SO!
#1Snake going to high school dating his cutey Girlfriend Raiden
OR!
#2.. explosions, explosions, explosions,*** shot, explosions ,Bang Bang, love sceen, explosions credits...
I mean I prefer 2 over 1... but MGS is just sooo much more than that
and deserves more... idk T_T is makes me sad
@metal_gear_pain - I die a little inside.. when I saw that the gayest cowboy ever , was playing the part of prince of Persia.. I am not impressed... he is.. well too WHITE! the character is soo exotic looking... not .. a gay pale *** cowboy dressed in some rags dancing around with reese witherspoon... T_T
god I cant take this anymore... I'm just gonna go sweeny todd myself..
hell yea, i'd love to see a metal gear movie. they would need a solid plot that engages the audience, though. otherwise it'll end up being CG crap with no real substance.
and the would definitely need to be a scene where he hides using the box.
Anyone ever seen the movies lost in LA or lost in New york. (I believe those are the titles names) Snake is the main character in those movies, or big daddy, I dont remember which one. THey are old movies though. Look them up.

Escape from New York and Escape from LA. Snake Pliskin is his name. Hince why Solid Snake refers to himself as Pliskin in Sons of Liberity, kind of a little nudge from Hideo. Anyways, movie was directed by John Carpenter and no where near MGS at all haha.
As far as a good director goes for this film, Nolan would be a great touch to it. Otherwise you should probably tap the likes (just throwing this out there cuz I think this man has the touch that could really rocket this film) Bryan Singer.
But here is the huge bash to this movie. They have already cut David Hayter out of any of it. Any of it at all. No screen writing (which he did for the first X-Men movie I believe, if not that one something along those lines, as well as others). No directing. No starring. Hideo Kojima has already said he would only be an exec on the film and not really contribute much to it. Thats killed it for me.
well im not sure what to think. metal gear has the capability to be a good movie, but it depends on which metal gear they base it on. a lot of movies based on games are never actually gone through with, like the halo or prince of persia movies
