I personally think it's too easy. The mark 2 is just too useful: You can find ammo for it around any corner (And if you somehow manage to run out, the ammo is cheap in drebin's shop), the suppressor never wears out, it has a built in laser sight, and it's a one hit neutralization. I'd say to fully enjoy the game, either leave that gun out of your inventory or just ramp up the difficulty level.
Hate to break the news to you but the whole point of a stealth game is to sneak around, if that doesn't interest you, go play cod.

I am getting tired of people complaining about this... This is how it has been since the first metal gear solid game. By the forth one you should kind of know what you’re getting into.

Yea, they are used for health packs... I am not sure how collecting health packs makes a game fundamentally "suck". We have been doing this since video games were made?

That is not the game's fault you are not using everything that is offered to you, that would be your own fault.

I fully accept other people's opinions on games just if you disagree with a game and feel like posting it, it would help out a lot if you were to give better arguments than the ones you gave because they really didn't seem well thought out.
2. Watch a super long cut scene - You can skip it if you want.
3. Collect Bowls of noodles - You must be searching every little corner.
4. Watch a super long cut scene - Again, you can skip it.
5. Collect guns you will never use - If you select not to. You can unleash hell all day.
6. Watch a super long cut scene - Once again, skip it.
7. Repeat - Depends on how you play.
This game is TERRIBLE! Great Graphics though!
First off, read blue comments in the quote. You don't have to sneak around at all if you don't want to (except when you have to trail one guy). You can run & gun the whole game if you feel like it. Nothing is set in stone in this game. And guns you'll never use? Give me a break. I had over 600 kills the first time I went through the game, so don't try to feed me that crap.
And just incase you didn't get the memo that went around. Controllers now come with this handy thing called a start button which when pressed, allows you to skip entire cutscenes.

Ahhhhh... it's statements like these that are but only one of the true reasons why I like talking and listening to certain people while playing online games.
This game is great. The story is solid and game play is well thought out. The reason you don't like it is because either your not good at it or your trying to not like it. If you appreciate games there is no reason why you would say it sucks.
I've never played a single Metal Gear game until this one and I only know about the game b/c they used Snake from Escape from New York as a model. This statements about the game not being good are made by run and gunners who don't enjoy story and thought. On Big Boss Extreme then hear every thing you do from reloading you gun to lighting your smokes. I hate when people say a game sucks b/c it's not what they like. I don't like Halo, but I'm not gonna say it sucks. It's just not a game for me.
I differ on some points with the original poster, but in general I'd have to agree that it sucks.
Now before the death threats start coming in, let me just say that it's not a crime to not like the game! I mean, I didn't like the first Spiderman movie much either, but that doesn't mean I should be thrown under a truck.
I'm not interesting in telling you in detail why I though the game was pretty crappy. If you care, I've written my reasons here: MGS4 Sucks: DO NOT BUY THIS TERRIBLE GAME
Yes, I wrote a blog about it! Only because MGS is such a phenomenon, and I was highly anticipating this sequel, and I was so disappointed -- my only blog was the only forum where I could write my opinion without getting totally shut down by everyone who looooooooves the game. I don't have a prob with the people who love it, just know that I think MGS4 sucks.
