Snake's chain smoking on screen while the game is loading for the first time is one of my favorite parts.
You mean how he smokes 1/4 of the cigarette, disposes of it (properly ) then lights another one? He has never smoked a full cigarette through that whole game, just a small portion.

Sounds like a design flaw to me... it's probably the reason why some reviewers decided to rate it just under a perfect 10.
Id have to say the final fight between Ocel... I mean Liquid and Snake would be my favorite. Just the music cycling through different tracks from all four MGS games (the last two songs being my favorites) and its throwback to the fight in MGS1 made it epic. I also loved when Ocelot did the little hand gesture from MGS3 right before he died.
Also would add when Big Boss is revealed to be alive is pretty damn awesome. I had never ever considered Big Boss could still be alive. Even with all the plot twists that are so common to the MGS series did I ever imagine Big Boss was still alive, and honestly when he came on screen I was in complete awe.
I would have to say my favorite part would have to be , when Snake has to go through the microwave , and you have the cut sceen above you of all your friends fighting and dying..and you couldnt stop tapping the triangle button.. god that was intense... plus I freaked out when I didnt reach the door.. I really thought I did something wrong T_T..

I did too until I realized that you were never supposed to reach the door and there is no way you can no matter how fast you hit that triangle button.
That part was cool but everyone was not dying, just being attacked. Meryl, Johnny, Raiden, Mei Ling, Otacon and that scared baby Navy guy that was next to Mei Ling. Those were the main people in that particular scene, now I can't say so much about some of the extras or the Frog Force group of people.
The shadow moses part made me cry big time.... never knew a video-game could pack so much emotion....
the final cutscenes are my favourite.....it engulfs the whole theme of the MGS Series in a plothera of emotion.
The scene where snake weeps (first time he ever cried .......) ur agr,and puts the cigerrete back to his fathers mouth. The whole purpose of my life was fulfilled... their soldier's vanity...pride in a generation of values which have long been lost, in a WORLD THAT HAS GONE COLD.......

Otacon has it the worst because in each game he's in, someone he cares a ton about dies (Sniper Wolf, Emma, Naomi). God hates Otacon for some reason even though he's a pretty kick *** sidekick for Snake.

yeah, and in the first on he urinates all over himself. has anyone else moticed that at least one person pees their pants in every mgs game?
i think that the part where you ride on the back of Drebin's ATV shooting all the geckos and zombie PMCs was awesome (right before Raiden shows up). and like everyone else said act IV, but damn those unmanned scouts! and right in the beginning of the game, right after you get the solid eye, all the PMCs and rebels fighting with the Ravens flying overhead blowing everything up.

I'm not exactly sure but I don't remember anyone pissing themselves in MGS4, only taking dookies or the flashback of Otacon peeing himself.
