Beating Final Boss (Liquid) on Hard Difficulty Submitted by xxGhost_Wolfxx

If you get to the last fight against liquid on big boss hard you can regain health as well if you don't already know how.

First when your fighting liquid and he hits you really hard and he steps back an says "Snaaaaaake" Press Triangle and you get health back

I basically CQC'd him to death. But once he gets to Ocelot you have to straight up fight him.

Once hes at about 33% health they turn old and you just have to tap R1 like crazy.

I'm actually doing a gamefaq guide on this, starting next monday. I was going to do it on my first playthrough, but i forgot and by the time i remembered i was on the third act already.

For the first boss, just use your threat ring to find her. Once you do, unload with the M60 if you picked it up in any of the numerous places you can get it. It's pretty much the same thing for the second boss.

For the third one, run between the two towers, spending as little time as possible on the ground. If you stay on the open ground long enough, she will do a cutscene attack and your life will come to a quick end, rations or not. You'll know this is coming by a few "sneak" cutscenes before she attacks; three of them or less.

I'm fighting vamp now. Basically, he's really easy to kill, but he keeps on coming back to life. I've looked around the room for any environmental ways to kill him, but to no avail. I've tried stunning him, shooting him, blasting him, CQCing him, using the railgun on him, hell, even laying down playboy mags to distract him (doesn't work). Nothing seems to be working, i've killed/stunned him like 13 times or so now. Anyone want to give me a hint?

Oh yeah, and for that part where you have to sneak around the city, don't bother with the disguise. Face Camo+ octo camo works much better for when your tail switches to the guard costume.

And for that last mantis boss fight, it's the same thing. And shoot the puppets.

That's probably a requirement, since I didn't get it on Solid Normal.

Not that anyone cares, but i'm done with the second act, and wow, there was a lot of items I missed my first time through. I have like 54-56 weapons now.

Hey guys.. thanks for the guide. I got an Emblem list from IGN and I have a few questions regarding that..

Firstly, there are quite a few Emblems that aren't exactly good:

    Centipede: Must continue 26 times.

Chicken: Must trigger 150 alerts, kill 500 enemies, continue 50 times, use 50 health items, and complete the game after 35 hours of play.

    Cow: Must trigger 100 alerts.

    Jaguar: Must trigger 76 alerts.

Leopard: Must kill 76 enemies and continue 26 times.

Panther: Must trigger 76 alerts and kill 251 enemies.

Puma: Must trigger 76 alerts, kill 251 enemies and continue 26 times.

Spider: Must kill 251 enemies and continue 26 times.

So.. are these ones that you should still want to get??

Secondly, why are there so many of the Emblems contradictory? Like Puma is basically Centipede, Jaguar, Panther and Spider together.

A lot of IGN's guide confuses me to be honest.

The IGN guide can be found at: Guides: Metal Gear Solid 4 Guide (PS3), Metal Gear Solid 4 Walkthrough

Thanks for any help guys. Hope you can help me make sence of all this.

I'm weighing on using a guide for references on this game. I can't stand it when I go through a game and I get the feeling that I've missed some things..

why are there so many of the Emblems contradictory? You use the emblems online for pics or something, all that i know at the moment is that they are used for the clans system.

Also heres a few more libertine, actually alot more lol (Im not sure if you have these or not, and im also not sure if all of these are correct, im reading the limited edition guide but im having trouble reading the math parts.. O.o)

Fox Hound: No use of stealth camo or bandana, Big Boss Hard or higher. (No rations, regain or noodles may be used for fox hound, fox hound also no kills or continues and must be done with in 5:30 hours, lastly under 3 alert phases)

Fox: Same as above but on normal or higher. (So doing the first will get you both.)

Hound: (Same, do first and you get this one too.)

Mantis: Beat game in under 5:00 hours (Same rules as the ones above but no alert phases)

Pidgeon: Play entire game without killing a single soldier and defeat each beauty with non lethal ammunition or stun grenades

Raven: beat game in under 5 hours

Octopus: Complete game with without getting an alert.

Pig: Use 40 or more rations, noodles, regains.

Crocodile: Kill 400 or more enemies? not sure about the ones from here and below, im bad at math......

Scorpion: under 25 continues. under 250 kills. under 75 alert phases.

Tarantula: Same as scorpion i think...

    centipede: Same as scorpion???

Wolf: No continues or rations, regains or noodles

I just think that the ones I posted above are all practically the same thing.

Also I just wonder, they are hardly good (like Chicken for example), so just making sure this is an emblem you want to get, along with the others that are not so good.
