this game by far is one of the most epic games ever. From the deadly stealth attacks with the knife to grabbing little dinos by the head and slicing their necks and listening to the cry. multi player is awesome. i love the knife fights. its so awesome when your in a battle with someone and all the sudden a raptor comes out of nowhere and eats him. its great.

I'm not sure epic is the word I'd use. It's a good, fun game, don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it. But it's not really epic and won't go down in history or anything. It's just Gears in the jungle, with dinosaurs. Oblivion was epic. Mass Effect was epic. Turok isn't in the same league.

i agree, oblivion is imo the best rpg, or one of the best games ever made, i cant get enough of it, i cant wait for the next Elder Scrolls if there is going to be one.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it an epic game in my book but something I remember from my public school days because of how different it was. I think it was around the same time Mortal Combat was popular right?

I suppose you are talking about the orginal for the N-64?? That game was a few years after the original Mortal Kombat was popular in the arcades. I put it in the same time frame as the Rareware game Killer Instinct was big at the arcades.

Damn... I would call it Touchstone's Turok... not simply Turok. There was another Turok game ... Turok: Dinosaur Hunter that was also known as "Turok"... it always gets me confused >.<
anyway ... I played Touchstone's Turok... it was ok... nice action but still it was really ... boring. After some time you keep doing the same stuf again and again... But 'tis a nice shooter afterall... if you want to play something and you don't know what, you could try Turok...

it was ok i guess. i downloaded the demo and i didnt care for it much. i did play evolution for the ps2 though. in MY opinion that wasnt a bad game at all. i actually played a heavy dose of it game play was varied well enough.

The game is fun. The online is fun also. But sometimes the gameplay gets boring and stale. Not epic but a semi-epic maybe?

I only enjoyed the N64 versions of this game, but since moving to the newer consoles, the game seemed to have got worse. Turok 2 was an awesome game, and Rage Wars was fantastic at the time.

I loved playing the whole Turok series for the N64. I would sit down and play for hours on end. I think i beat each game like 4or 5 times but still had fun doing it. Turok is a game that is hard to get sick of.`qw

I would have to say that Turok is certainly an interesting game. Wether that is a good thing or bad thing should be left up to the individual. The knife became the weapon of choice throughout the game, not a good thing when you consider that the guns were useless and you couldn't kill an ant with the submachine gun. Over all I think that epic is not the word i would use to describe Turok.
