Dont forget Dragon force, Albert odysee, and anzer dragoon saga, one of the best RPGs PERIOD. They had more rpgs because sega folded the saturn before they could build up a decent library.

I still enjoy RPG's to this day, and even getting into final fantasy 12. Beleive it or not i think 12's combat system was the most fun and hectic compared to any of the series. Althought it was just a free roaming "active time battle" so it wasnt totally new, it still seemed to make the battles alot more real and hectic than any of the previous ones.

Im a fan of the new RPG's still but i admit i wear a bit of Nostalgia goggles on games that meant alot to me. And wow, no one mentioned my fave RPG of Final Fantasy 6, rather disapointed but again at times seems to be a game that sort of flys under the radar. The story is isnt that great, most characters get brief development, and the battles just operate "smack enemies, heal when nessisary". But its still my fave RPG even after i had been introduced to PS2 level RPG's.

No one mentioned Chrono Cross? I think that was the first game I played on ps1. I also found a lot of of oddball rpgs at my local movie store...

Azure Dreams is kinda like pokemon going through a massive tower...your pets keep their levels but you get reset every time you go in so it takes forever to finish. Actually, I haven't finished it. You can have 2 pets out at once and every time you take a step on a floor, everything else takes a step. I don't think there is an ending...just some achievement for dating all the girls in town or something silly.

There was also something else with a knight and a pet but its really corny and looks terrible...

I don't think anyone has heard of Jade Cocoon. Its another one of those monster training games, except everything looks like an insect.
