Since it's been a while since I've played Resistance religiously, I have a silly question to ask... which button do you use to fire a grenade from the carbine rifle? I tried asking in the room that I was playing in lasr night, but as usual, people on PSN weren't talking much at all. Either that, or not enough people own bluetooth headsets to use... which is sad.
R2. R2 is the alternate fire mode for all the weapons, or scope for the Fareye.
I can't play the beta tonight because of too much homework, and I have work tomorrow.

That's a shame. Because this was the best beta I have ever played.
Maybe if I stop procrastinating and get off the computer, I'll get that work done and be able to play.

While I think Resistance 2 is a fun beta, it's not even close to being as good as the LBP beta was.
And I'm really digging the "skirmish" game mode... at least it tries to enforce teamwork. The one thing that I HATE with this beta is the complete and total lack of headset communication.

And I still think this beta lacks behind the likes of Socom, simply because of the complete and utter lack of communication by other people on your squad... too many times, it seems like other people are busy yapping on their cellphones while their headsets are on, and you're forced to listen to their annoying, pre-pubescent conversations.
Still, I am glad that my brother will more than likely get this game for me as a birthday gift in December.

Aside from SOCOM, I've never heard anyone put their mic to good use on a PS3 game. That's why if I'm not in a game with someone I know, I simply turn my headset on and toss it in my desk drawer. It prevents me from hearing such annoyances, and from their conversations coming through the TV.

LMAO... yeah, I did this Thursday night when I was playing the game. I was sick and tired of hearing lame conversations that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the game I was playing.
I'm still surprised to see that the Resistance 2 servers are still up and running... even after I just received an email from Sony/Insomniac "thanking" me for my participation in the (supposedly finished) beta.
Oh yeah... that one weapon absolutely f***ing owns in this game... it almost looks and sounds like the one that Jesse Ventura used in "Predator".

Nothing wrong with that. Then you can be sure you get full use out of the beta! I'm glad the R2 beta was extended since I just finished logging a couple more hours into it. I got to try that Chicago level, and damn! It was sweet. We WOOPED a**.
Oh and I tried the melee attack a little more and I was wrong. It does some good damage.
I saw Resistance 2 on the shelves at Target this morning after I voted... it took every ounce of willpower that I had to stop myself from buying it right now. Unfortunately for me, I asked my brother to get it for me as a birthday gift... and my birthday won't be here for another 50+ days.
