There was only a couple of seconds of game play footage (maybe like one or two), and wow, did it look impressive. Better graphics this time around is really going to add a lot to the game, and you can be sure the game play and story are going to be top notch.

They showed much more gameplay during the E3 coverage on G4TV... and after seeing that gameplay footage, I wanted to run out to the local GameStop and pre-order a copy of it right then and there.

Also, I noticed that there is a (free) Resistance 2 theme that was just released on PSN... Chicago has never looked so good, being completely ravaged by the Chimera.

Is that where the game is going to take place, or is it all over the US?

Also the first level is in iceland.

San Fransisco is the only other city I know of so far that will be featured.

I know for sure that America is going to be the focal point of the new game, and Chicago was the one to show actual gameplay footage, I think.

(Interesting to hear that San Francisco is another setting for the game.)

Just seeing the images of Chicago decimated at the hands of the Chimera sends a chill down my spine. It's already one of my favorite PS3 themes!

I'm still waiting for the price of the first Resistance to drop so I can play it and beat it and know wtf is going on in R2. Also, the new PSP resistance looks like a good buy as well.

I got Resistance for 10$ but the single player is pretty long. I've only completed the half of the game (played for 1 month) but I can tell you it's definitely worth it.

Konami is so freaking frugal with their servers. They took down Subsistence Online after only a year, and it took me days just to be able to get an Konami ID for the beta. I'm pretty sure more people had some trouble with the Konami ID after launch, but maybe I'm mistaken in that one. Either way, they should have seen the possibility of another server crash when they released the DLC. Seriously. They've seen what happens when the demand is too much on the servers, and they also should know by now that they have the most rabid fan base on the playstation (well, except maybe for FF or Socomers).

I bought Resistance 1 at Circuit City for $30 today. I didn't see a price drop on it anywhere else, so if you want to buy it still now's your time.

The only place that I have seen the game sell for less than that would be eBay, which is where I got my copy over a year ago.

After completing the story mode last summer, I traded it in for more credit than I originally paid for it... it was a nice win/win kind of situation for me.
