Folklore, a title developed by Game Republic, is a game that documents the eerie quests of two individuals (Ellen and Keats) and their mysterious calling to the village of Doolin - a place where (supposedly) the living can meet the dead. This title, for the most part, is an action/adventure RPG, and charges you with the task of unraveling the mystery and intrigue that envelope this small community. To do so, you'll need to walk the halls and fields of the Netherworld in search of clues that will ultimately reveal the cause of a blood-stained 17-year-old strife - a strife that's left families bitterly torn and memories buried under psychological trauma.

Folklore is set to release this Tuesday (10/9/07). After playing the demo of this game earlier in the month of September, I simply cannot wait until this game is released. I probably won't have time to pick it up on Tuesday, but hopefully I'll have it in my hands by Friday of next week.
Anyone else have any thoughts or comments on this game or planning on picking this game up next week?
Ya know.. I played the demo as well. And was quite surprised by how in depth and different it was from normal RPG's. It had a very "different" feel to it. The demo is quite lengthly too. If you have a PS3, i'd recommend trying it out.
Im still on the fence about getting it or not though.. I kinda wanna get everything done house work wise inside and outside before November 5th comes around. Because god knows im going to be playing COD4 every minute like a crack head.
I get into a yelling argument with EVERYONE that thinks Halo 3 is going to be better then COD4. My GOD i cant stand that childish Halo game. How could anyone buy that?
If COD4 doesnt have a midnight release, i'd be very surprised. Comparing the 2 games, COD4 should outsell Halo 3 by a large margin. Unfortunately the "Hype" factor isnt as high with this game...so it'll probably take a year or so for people to catch on.
Sorry for going off-topic. I had too many energy drinks today.
i tried looking it up, but does this have online?
i doubt it though.
Yes, in a way. People will be able to make their own realms with folks and then post them online to allow other players to compete in them. The review said the feature was a nice touch to the game, but very limited. Online play is not the main focus in this game, as this is mainly a story mode game only.
Looks good, I have to try this game out! Sony should make a fable type game. not a fan of 360, but fable was fun. Sony should make a game like it only longer and better. Folklore reminds me of fable for some reason.
