The game is supposed to be available for in-store purchase as well as being able to download the game also, is the word on the street. If it's available for download I would expect the price to be well under $ 60.00 Bucks.

Yeah I bet it will be somewhere around $20 for the game in the PSN Store and $60 for retailers because it will come with a headset.
I just finished watching the video again and from all the gameplay shown to us here is what I can tell so far. I will give you the time for each thing I have seen so you can see it too.
This is all speculation so bear with me,
- You can move with rocket launchers (00:52)
- It might be open mic, there is a little sound symbol on the top left of the screen. (00:52)
- The Health Bar is still there.
- Radar now shows enemies (00:53) (00:58 )
- View is a bit more back than GRAW, feels more like SOCOM view. (Anywhere in gameplay part of the video)
- The HUD is simple on the right it shows your stance, there is an ammunition indicator, a magazine indicator, and it also shows how many grenades you have.
- You have more magazines than in any other SOCOM, I saw thirty. (00:59)
- The rate of fire is very fast compared to past games.
- Hit Detection seems spot on.
That's really all I can tell right now, I guess we have to wait for E3 in July.

I'd say that the open Mic is a given with any and all games of the future. Little Kids and people that constatly have to say the N Word rejoice !!!
Also, if the Radar now shows enemies...that will take care of any camping issues. Sniper's will shake their fists at the sky in frustration.
I gotta say I was a little dissappointed to see that the radar shows enemies but since you put it in that perspective, especially since this is a 32 player game I am now happy about it.

There's actually plenty of people willing to shell out $600 for one PS3 game (not just Socom). There's actually alot of people just waiting for MGS4, then they'll buy their PS3. The same can be said for FF13, Socom, and maybe Killzone (depends how it turns out).
And then there are many more like you that want a large library before making a $600 commitment.
There's nothing wrong with either choice. It's all personal preference.

Correct... I would be one of the people that fall into this category. Receiving news of an improved Socom game would make the decision to purchase a PS3 all that much easier.

this is just a game to tide ya'll over while zipper completes their socom 4, which is both SP and MP. this is basically the GTHD (gran turismo HD) for SOCOM. it's just a beefed up socom 2. socom 4 will probably be much better and since zipper has been working on it since a lil after the beginning of socom 3 then all the better. Zipper's "secret" project is coming out Fall '08 so theres plenty of time to make socom 4 even better. This game is to make sure that the fans still stay fans while waiting and not go on to other games like GRAW. Zipper Still Working on Second PS3 SOCOM news from 1UP.com

I can't wait for tese games. I think the Zipper version will have a really in-depth single player as well as multi player. It would be cool to see BUD/S training in the game. As fro Confrontation, I think it will be good because Slant Six has said that they were listening to fans saying that they want the game to go back to being its addictive self again. They know what the fans want and now they're going to recreate that gameplay experience to the best of their ability. Plus, they are bringing back old maps and re-vamping them. Hopefully, they'll do a good job. Also, has anyone noticed the new camera angles. The croshairs are now to the right of the guy. This is like the camera angle in SOCOM fireteam bravo 2. The other camera angle is seen in the video when the terrorist zooms in. I personally like this view better than the normal first person screen that we had before. I don't know how it will play on Confrontation though. Well have to wait until we can try it out.
