Don't get your hopes up for Socom 4. For one, look at the quote in my sig.
Plus, Socom C is all about online, as opposed to Socom 4, which is both SP and MP. If SS goes strong with Socom C and does well with updates, there will be no need to play Socom 4.
I bet Zipper will bring back most of the old maps in Socom 4 just to get people to play it. After all, if SS does well, why on earth would we go back to the sh*tty developers that call themself Zipper?

Some of the things listed in there are old, but some are new.
I think it's great that there is a possibility that new environments will be released later on. Desert is by far my favorite, but I would like to play in other areas, too.
I also think it is a good idea that they may bring vehicles back. However, they should not pull a Socom 3 if they do bring them back. The maps should still be much smaller (less vehicles, obviously).
Take Black Hawk Down (the movie) as an example. It shows that you can still have an urban conflict with vehicles driving through the streets. Hopefully something like this would be what they are going to do.
Too bad new pictures of the other maps haven't been released yet. Go figure they will only show the one map we know...

I thought it was smart in my opinion, since they're trying to hook us "hardcore" socom players again. I wish they would release Liberation again, since a lot of people haven't played that map, even though it's great. Basically the entire Algerian theater was great map-wise.
In any case I'm still gonna get my hopes up for socom 4. Zipper had 1 bad game (I'm including CA as part of it since it had to use the same controls, stats, online, etc as SOCOM 3, and was basically just an expansion pack, not another full release. Although they still are at fault for not making the maps on that game smaller...), that doesn't mean that they're out of the running. SOCOM and SOCOM: II were, and are still, great games. SOCOM had the best single player out of the series, and SOCOM: II had the best online. SOCOM: II was only released about 4 years ago now, that's not that long. Also, I quite enjoyed all the single players to date, although the original SOCOM definitely had the best experience (still makes me want to be a SEAL whenever I play it).
Socom 3/CA sucking isn't the only thing. After the game was released, Zipper turned their backs. No new updates are promises that they made were kept. That's why you shouldn't get your hopes up. Sure, Socom 1 and 2 were great, but you're saying it like either didn't have flaws. The endless list of glitches and the many cheaters are two flaws in the game.
I think Slat Six will try their best so that no one will switch over to S4 once Socom C comes out.
At least they better...

I think itd be cool if you could like find a bike layign around in some random household that you now get access into on Confrontation and hop on it and use it. Things like that would make it sick.

Vehicles didn't ruin things enough for you in Socom 3, I take it? Adding something as lame as that (bicycles) would make me sick... sick to my stomach.

It obviously wont happen. But say there was a bike laying by soem boxes in the market square. You grab the bomb with 30 seconds left on the clock, run to the biek and haul *** to get the bomb planted. Not like sitting in the spawns at the start. But I see what you mean. Yeah vehicles really screwed up SOCOM 3.

Umm, no... common sense. If you're sitting in a vehicle and not shooting, you're going to get hit. If you're sitting in a vehicle and shooting back, you're chances of living just went through the roof.
X-men did not invent that saying, lol.
By the way, I've never even seen an X-men movie.
