Hello everyone--
Being a long time player of Socom1 and Socom 2 i have fallen in love with the series, especially online. I love maps like desert glory and abandoned on S1 and Sujo on S2. I have yet to play Socom 3 online cause i didnt take my ps2 wit me when i came to school in the fall.
Im excited to start playing Socom 3 online. What is the good/bad about Socom 3 online compared to Socom 2? Are the maps better? What about the lag? Overall is S3 better?
well you will get alot of varying answers on which is better, but i personally like socom 2 alot more. socom 3 is good but just never really seemed that great to me. the levels are too big and whenever i used to play almost every round especially on the larger maps went to the max limit making games on average hour length which just wasnt for me. so im back to 2 and am perfectly happy.
s3>s2>s1 it seems like the old socoms always turn into a big glitch fest...the only reason i still play s2 is 4 gb. I miss the RAH HEE LAH though

dumbest things on socom: ghille suits, long ranged explosives, proning wh0r3s with sasr/sr-25 in the back of the spawn, and ppl who use skype...got owned by some garbage clan b/c of that bs
socom 3 is better than s2 but s2 is a lot more fun.
all socom 3 is- is a camp fest. A clan war on s3 can last over 2 hours on average sometimes because of the camping- you rarely get in firefights.
socom 3 is a sniping and hiding simulator, almost like a Gran Turismo for the military.
In socom 3 if you are a good player, it actually penalizes you because if you are a high rank like I am (4 star) you can not join a single room unless you know someone in the room unless another 4 star player made the room, which is rarely the case.
If you want a fun, accessable, action filled shooter play socom 2. If you need something to help you fall asleep- play socom 3.
s3 sucks!!!! it's just really boring. s2 is so much more fun and about 75% of people are starting to realize it. thats why people are coming back to s2
LOL 75%?? Try 5%..that might be a little closer. S2 is crap compared to socom 3. I mean I go back to socom 2 every now and then and I can't last more then 10 mins on there. The guns shoot so slow and they are so unaccurate compared to the guns on socom 3. The hit detection is so horrible. The only bad thing about Socom3 is how they made it where you win if you outnumber the other team..this is where all the camping comes from, but I would never even consider playing socom2 over socom3.

if ur nor verfified and your parents wont let you do it, have them read the user agreement at the beginning. It says specificaly that no money will be charged at all. So yeah. But back to the topic, I personally think s3 is a lot better. I dont have a problem with the maps, i dont see what people dont like about them. But also, they are bringing in map packs witch should add a lot of fun to the game, 6 bucks is nothing, you could ask a random person for 6 bucks and within 5 trys get it.(well maybe not idk).
