Auto aiming in Socom 3 - US Navy Seals
I was reading the manual and it says that there is an auto aim in the game. Is this anything like the aiming in FTB? Right now I'm aiming using the left and right analog sticks, is this the correct method and what is the auto aiming feature about?

around your enemy when there is something in between you and the enemy, obstructing your line-of-sight.

Yes and it will show the guys name, I find this usefull since I can never tell the ghillies apart if their in like tall grass.

Uhh.... no? This only works offline, at least that's what I've been told, and as far as I know. Considering, I have mine on, and I don't get any red brackets online. I'm 95% sure the name shows up whenever you are really close with your crosshairs on someone.

Welcome to Socom, pal. In Socom 3 online, the name of a team member will display when you're close enough to them.

In Socom 2 you could see their name regardless of where they were on the map (unless super super far away).

He's talking about when your cursor is over an enemy....

In which case, like I had said earlier, i believe their name shows up if you are close enough to them, just like in Socom 2, although I could be wrong.

You are correct sir! If the guy is an enemy your crosshairs will turn red if he is a friendly they will turn green.

in socom 2, (i dunno bout 3) when the big red brackets appeared on an enemy, it means you could shoot anywhere inside those redbrackets and it would hit him...not saying that something is obstructing your line of view..

yeah this is for the single player. but as far as i know there is no auto-aim for multiplayer...

i heard that when u snipe online there is a slight autoaim, which i thought which is really g@y, but it isnt out over here yet so i dunno, its just something i read...
