I really like their new logo. The strategy behind is is that it looks like a smile, and is more "hip" compared to Coke, which comes off as old-fashioned. I say old fashioned because they have kept the same bottle, logo throughout.
Addt'l soda story: When "new coke" came out and it tasted just like pepsi, Pepsi gave all their employees the day off, claiming that they had won.

Coke doesn't change their look because of Branding. It falls under the, "if it's not broke, why fix it" train of thought. To be honest, I feel like they let it was designed by a middle schooler. Oh well, I'll still enjoy Pepsi over coke any day. But Mountain Dew defeats all.

I think 'smooth and sexy' is kind of becoming the new fashion rather than 'crazy and random'. The matt finish on the can just makes it looks ten times better, IMHO. The old one just looks too 'RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.'

I like the new look. It's more up to date with me. I'll take a Pepsi over a Coke any day though.

... Am I the only one who likes the shiny one better? I think that soda is directly aimed at teenagers and children more than any other demographic, and the best way to get the attention of a child is to stick something shiny in their face

First off, what a completely random topic, but I guess I like the simple look of the new can. What I really wanted to say though, is that you're F'n high if you prefer Pepsi over Coke.

I don't care what it looks like. The only thing that influences my purchase is the taste, which is acceptable, and the price. If it is cheaper than the rivals, I'll buy it. A new paint job won't change that.

I like the old one better over the new one.
And ya I (did) take Pepsi over Coke anyday...even though I don't drink soda anymore

Liking and quoting this post simply for the fact that you said "soda". I ******g HATE when people say "pop"
But, did you guys see what they did there? The "e" in "Brown flavored sugar piss" does that wave thing that was on the original logo.

I like the new font that's used for the new Pepsi wording on the can but as a whole the old branding is much better.
Our branding even now is slightly different to the ones but you know what, I can't even remember the last time I saw a can of Pepsi. I would have thought the store where I work sell it but I've not noticed them in a while. The bottles are boring blue with a few wave patters here and there. Certainly beats the phase of letting the public design random patterns on the cans a year or two ago.
I refuse to 'jack this thread but since it's already been brought up earlier, I prefer Coca-Cola..... 'coke'.
