I only use the shortened versions when texting on my phone to save time. If I'm chatting on AIM or something, I still type the full word since its easy with a qwerty keyboard.

Well, I have a blackberry and it has a full qwerty keyboard so I tend to type out the words. I will occasionally use the "U', "ur" but thats it. I do use lol a lot though.
Btw, how many txts do you send a month? I'm trying to top my record of 49,856 by Tuesday when it resets.

49,856?!?!? Is that a typo? If not that is an insane amount and never imagined anyone could possible text that much. And I thought 500 texts was a lot.

I don't call a lot, I prefer it be short, simple and to the point. A lot of my texting occurs during school or whilst I'm at work. Plus my friends and I txt like every 5 minutes looking for something to do in boring ol' Kentucky.

Given a 31 day month and 16 waking hours, that would require sending, on avarage, more than 1 text per minute, every minute of your waking day. I'm dubious.
I once got thrown off an unlimited text plan for using it too much :(

Well, it's true. Apparently it was unlimited subject to 'fair use', and I wasn't using it fairly, the buggers. I am in the UK though, and they love that over here. It's the same with ISPs. Would that fly across the pond?

That's total, meaning sent and received! Plus I get updates from ESPN, Rivals, Catspause, and Yahoo.
