Favorite Past President

Like the "Worst president" poll, I'm interested in seeing who guys vote as your favorite president. Now, In the poll, I have listed my personal favorites from 1 to 10 as theirs 43 presidents and 10 maximum Poll Options.


I voted for FDR. He did many great things during the Depression, like putting many people back to work, by creating domestic programs and help get the American Economy stable again. Not to mention, his efforts in WWII. Great man.

My second vote went to JFK. With what he did in the Civil Rights Movement, and his work with Dr King, he helped bring Whites and Black together in his "New Frontier" platform.

George Washington

He had the ability to take the country and turn it into what he wanted to. Instead he got advice from his fellow country leaders and always consulted problems, changes, and ideas with them.

Without GW there would be no United States. Our government wouldn't have made it with his dedicated leadership, and his ability too set an incredible foundation for everything in the US.

I'm not much of a fan of FDR... he averted a socialist revolution during the depression, which is why we still have capitalism. He also procrastrinated far too much about moving the US toward a war footing, never mind his isolationism.

I prefer Lincoln. He plugged the leaks quite well.

One of my personal favorites has always been Abraham Lincoln. Faced with a crucial situation while the country was still young in age, Lincoln stopped at nothing to bring the Union back together. He was definitely faced with a situation that could have turned America into something drastically different had he not intervened.

A book I read a while ago on Lincoln talked quite a bit on how he conducted himself at the time of the Civil War. It was interesting to see how much of a religious man he was, and the fact that he thought the Civil War was divinely justified as America was "paying" for its sins of the past (slavery). Much of his religious nature found its way into his Presidential Addresses, which are always intriguing to read.

I really look up to Kennedy for the Huge Balls he showed during the Cuban Missle Crisis. Very Admirable. He spoke with force and The Commie's complied.

I mean come on! He abolished slavery in the U.S.! That's huge... imagine how ****ed up we would be today if it never happened.
