Randy Moss Vs. Jerry Rice
This was an argument being debated in the superbowl thread, but I will make a specific poll for it to end the B.S in there.

Who do you think was better?

I say hands down Rice for the following reasons.

-Made the record for TD receptions in 12 games, Moss did in 16.

-Rice was a better leader and example.

Ross has said things such as "I play hard when I feel like it". Doesn't sound like a leader if you ask me.

Rice played hard.

Moss plays hard when he "feels like it". Rice > Moss. I would go as far to say that Randy Moss isn't even the best Wide Receiver in the NFL right now.

You need help.

Randy Moss is the best receiver the game has ever seen. Yeah, Rice was beast, but Moss is a freak on the field. When's the last time you've seen a player make the catches and run the routes as good as Moss? Never.
On top of that, football was way easier back then.

Randy Moss > life.

Off-topic; why won't you play me in Madden? Are you scared?

Easier back then? Are you kidding me?

It was alot more "rough" and "gritty" back then than what it is now.

Nows theres rules for everything and etc.Moss is one of the top 3 Wr in the league but I wouldn't put him at #1.

Who in the league right now is better than him? If you say Steve Smith, slap yourself.

And;

Well Steve smith is pretty close, if not as good than Moss IMO.

Faster, makes yards after the catch, and he gets all the pressure seeing as hes the only good WR on the team. Yeah, I might be a little biased, but I think SS is up their with Randy.

Other receivers I consider close..

Braylon Edwards
T.O(Sadly..)
Reggie Wayne
Marvin Harris would be, but I'm not sure, sense he was injured basically all year.
Anthony Gonzalaz will be a premeir WR with years to come I think..so I'm gonna take a gamble and put him up there with some of the best..
Larry Fitzgerald also did great this year.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh
Santana Moss
Hines Ward
Donald Drive

The only thing that separates these receivers from Moss is their TD receptions.

But in all honesty, the only thing keeping me from saying Moss is #1, is not his athletic ability, but his leadership and his work ethic, etc.

If he played with fire and tried to set a better example other than just making plays to other WRs I'd give him more credit.

Oh, yeah on the Madden topic..

DUDE, I swear you have the worst timing. Whenever you want a game, I'm playing a friend or something or I'm playing someone at my house, but don't think I hate yah man, lol.

I'll say Steve Smith in general. Right now on the other hand, Randy Moss.

I think if you take away Moss's years in Oakland where he upset everyone because he was upset about going 3-13 every year, he'd have a better reputation.

Even excluding his years in Oakland, I can't compare Moss to Rice. Alongside his great football abilities, Rice was a great overall team leader and could probably have a great coaching career if he were to choose that route.

After the Pats win Saturday night, Moss said in the press conference that he really wanted the record just to shut the media up.

As a football player, Moss is better when he is surrounded by talent. But Rice's leadership and motivation skills can help influence talent around him.

Randy Moss hands down because Moss still has a good 10 or more years of football to play to even be compaired to Jerry Rice. By the time Moss is 40 he will have well exceeded Rice.

Maybe, MAYBE, even though I doubt it, stat wise(I think rice should still hae the record), but as I said before..

I really don't think Moss will ever be the leader or legend Rice was.

People still wear Rice jerseys, people still remember him.

I don't think I'll be able to say the same for moss in 20years, but eh who knows.
