I vote for COD 4 because i think it has more action

Obviously , none of these games are without flaw. I went with Call of Duty 4 because of the great SP story coupled with the fun MP. Infinity Ward effectively took away MP Spawn Camping by just bringing the meat right too the Spawn Campers themselves with some of the worst MP spawning I've ever seen in a game. Don't feel like running around and looking for a grenade to place under your scrotum ? Have No Fear, COD4 MP will place one there for you right when you Spawn at no charge. Brilliant


Honrable Mentions...

Mass Effect - Like playing an excellent Sci-FI movie - graphics, weapons, music, and galaxy exploration was killer, extreme moments of slowdown not so much. I won't feel like taking an elevator anytime soon. Sex scene with Alien made me feel all dirty.

BioShock - Great Artwork and Gameplay ( The Circa 1950's era touch was awesome ) . Once it was over I wanted to play more, but didn't.

Orange Box - Best Bang for the Buck, it's been neglected because I've played through the story before on the OG XBoX, Need to go back and play through the whole game.


Worst - Halo 3
Assassin's Creed


All in all one of the best years in video gaming I've ever witnessed.

I gave Mass Effect my vote.

I've played all of the games in the poll, with the excpetion of ican'tplayarealGuitar Hero, and Mass Effect is the only one I intend on playing through again.

Mass Effect nails it on graphics, sound, gameplay, story, acting, custom character engine, and blue alien chick boning (which I finally got, Z3CH!).

Call of Duty 4 is an extremely close second. The multiplayer is endless fun, and even though the single player is like a military scenario checklist, the ending is pretty epic.

Lib, we definitely need a worst game of the year poll after this. Make sure you put Assassin's Creed on it.

I wasn't going to try ME at first, but since everyone I know that's played it loves it, Im going to pick it up ASAP.

Not a bad idea. We need some suggestions though. The only one I could think of off the back is "Two Worlds".

We'd have to exclude the XBL games....too many crappy ones to list.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam
Blacksite: Area 51
Project Sylpheed

And list goes on and my vote goes to Call of Duty 4 obviously because of its tremendous multiplayer mode. Words cannot describe it.

Kane & Lynch? What was that western shooter, Call of Juarez or something? There are far too many to choose from.

Oh my god don't remind me. Two Worlds would beat Assassin's Creed at worst game any day. That game was absolutely terrible.

Call of duty 4? oo great game but in the end its nothing but another damn shooter game with better graphics and nothing more.

Assassins Creed is a great game and is new and has great game play. COD4 is a great game but in the end its just a new shooter. Assassins Creed is the best new game out.
