I'm going to say the Xbox 360. I finally got a Wii a couple days ago but with games like Bioshock for the 360, I can't stay off my box. The PS3 has a lot of good points and new features but the online sucks, and we all love online.

Hands down, the 360 wins this one. Having played all three, I can atest to the fact that the 360 is simply more enjoyable than the others. The PS3 has only a few games out and is simply too expensive for even the most dedicated gamer. The Wii has many good games out there, but the whole nunchuck, point at the screen crap gets annoying after a while. What happens if you're tired and you just want to play some games while lying on the couch? Good luck playing Res 4 that way. The 360 isn't all that expensive and has everything out for it right now.

Xbox 360 is the most enjoyable system for the price... but only by the slimmest of margins.

I own all of them, and I'd rank them like this:

1. Xbox 360
2. Nintendo Wii
3. PlayStation 3

I'm sure this list of mine will move around in the future, but for right now, this is where things stand.

To be honest, I much prefer my PS3 over my 360. They both go for the same price here and the PS3 has more things I enjoy. When you think about, the 360 is more expensive in a way. You have to shell out extra $50 a year to play your games online. It's not much, but it's not free. I know everyone will say "That's to keep up with maintenance on servers" or "360's online is way better than PS3's". Truthfully, that's a massive crock of ****. I've experienced more lagging, disconnects and general server issues with a day of LIVE than in the month I've been on PS3.

There's also the fact that games look better on PS3. I own R6V for both systems and it looks better on PS3. More detail can be put into a PS3 game because their discs can hold more data.

Let's not forget the fact that any game worth buying for 360, is also coming out for PS3. I'm sure I'll hear about how Halo 3 is a 360 exclusive and will be such an amazing game. It's just another FPS with nothing new to offer the world. COD4 is a much better game.

Agreed. Having PS3 and 360, and having played Wii, I think PS3 is the best. Probably mostly because I have been a Playstation player since the week the original came out.

Anyone that says "Halo 3 isn't on PS3" obviously hasn't played Resistance. It's practically the same game, only a little more fast paced (I have Resistance and played the Halo 3 beta). I'm sure the game will change from the beta, but not in so much of a way that it will be much different than Resistance.

The only reason anyone can rank the 360 ahead of the PS3 is through games. The system has more games because it's been out twice (?) as long. The PS3 is working it's way up with titles like Warhawk and Resistance is still solid. There's only two games I'm looking forward to, Halo 3 and Socom. And guess which one I'll probably be playing about 5x more than the other... Socom.

I'd sell my 360 well before I'd think of parting with my PS3.

Edit -

Forgot about Wii! The Wii is probably the most enjoyable system out there, but it's only fun with more than one person in my opinion.

To get the most bang for your buck, it would have to be the PS3. You get a lot more value for what you pay, but the GAMES should make up like, 90% of your decision, so it comes down to preference.

I would go with PS3. I own a 360 and PS3. I was a PS player since the PS1 and I prefer the games made for PS. The PS3 uses Blu-ray which is superior to standard DVD. PS Network is catching up with Xbox Live, offering free demos, full PS1/PSP games, full PS3 exclusives such as Warhawk, and Home will be coming soon. It's free. I never bought anything off the Live marketplace, which is really the only advantage of Live. I think the Wii isn't really current-gen. It seems like a Gamecube with a new controller and new GPU.

I only own a 360 and a Wii. So far, I hate my Xbox 360. The online service lacks of quality. I mean, I can't connect correctly, nor I can't invite people or else I received a good amount of error like "host not responding" "can't conect the host" and so on... I can't hear everyone on the headset. My 360 just scratched 2 of my most played games and I hate it. I get "disc unreadable" and each time I play a game, it froze at least 2 times per day. It's really a pain. I wouldn't recommend it. As for the Nintendo Wii, I absolutely love it. It's the less expensive and the games are great, including some classics on the SNES and it goes on. Unfortunetaly, it's only fun when you're playing with friends. Some games required to press the button for like 15 minutes (like on Sonic or Metroid 3) or whatever that trick the controller... I'm just tired of it. Overall, I would go for PS3.

It's not that much more than the 360 is, only 130 more (well, for the time being 230 more, but you can still find a $500 ps3 pretty easily).

And there is more than enough games out for me. Resistance, RSV, Warhawk, and Motorstorm are more than enough games to tide me over. There's more than that, but those are the ones that i particuarly enjoy.

And the online difference is negligable. The servers are of equal quality, the games and general network slowness are the only reasons that you'd lag in today's games.

<hr />

In anycase, I prefer the PS3. It's more powerful, and it's getting a shitload of games that i love.
