Which console is most worth it?

I chose the PS3 because for me, it has more potential, and I enjoy the current and upcoming game library that it has to offer. The graphics are top of the line, and every game looks better on the PS3 than the 360 like someone else mentioned earlier in the thread.

The Wii is definitely a good buy, but I think it is geared more for group gaming than a single person. Every person I talk that owns a Wii says the same exact thing. The console is great when friends are over, but it offers little to keep the single gamer occupied. That's not to say that the Wii does not offer a few great exclusive titles (Metroid, Mario, SSB), but overall as a console, it does not offer what the PS3 and 360 can. That being said, I still want to get my hands on a Wii though :)

I choose wii just for the different style of gaming system.

Im going to have to go with the PS3 guys. Not that Im a fanboy or anything but it looks like it will win the next gen wars because they have just recently lowered the price a tad and sales skyrocketed. It also looks like it has the best game line up coming up. For example we have: MGS 4 which will probably or might outsell Halo 3, we also have GTA4 which will sell copies in no time. Grand Turismo 5 which is the next gen of racing games. The 360 meh some of its games are good, but once again most of them have more bark then bite for example: Halo 3, but don't get me wrong they have quite a few good games like Bioshock. The Wii was mostly a gimmick console with its unresponsive controller and evreything. They didn't have that good of a line up anyways besides WarioWare Zelda TLP, and a few other titles.

These are how I would rank them:

1. PS3

2. 360

3. Wii

I would not under estimate the Wii. Between now and January there are 100 games coming out, just for the Wii. The game library may be weak now (As is the case with the PS3 as well), but in the up coming months, look for some great games to be released on the Wii.

Also, the Wii isn't a gimmick either, considering it has out sold both the PS3 and the 360 at this point in time. There may have been a few hardware problems, but nothing as wide spread as the 360. When I think of next generation console, I think of the PS3 and the 360. The Wii is in a league of its own, which is a good thing in my opinion.

Your right on a couple of points about the gaming library being weak on both systems, but most of the Wii was a gimmick, they hyped it up so much and made it look like the controller was the system. It really just is a modified Gamecube with a better GPU. Hey I love the Wii, I have one and play Wii Sports all te time and have a blast. But from my point of view the PS3 is worth more then the Wii.

I think it depends on what you are looking for. If you're a hardcore gamer the 360 for sure. If you want a blu-ray player the PS3 and if you are a casual gamer I'd say the Wii. I picked the 360 best of all the different great games and their XBL

i got both the 360 and ps3 and have to go with the ps3 do to its online gamming

I haven't played the PS3, but from what I have gathered XBL is still way ahead on Playstation online interface. Besides the 360 has many more online games to choose from too. Gears of War, Lost Planet, Halo 3, Virtua Fighter 5 come to mind. I forgot to mention the 360 controller has Vibration which I think is a must have from day one.

The 360 has more online games simply because it has more games which largely due to the fact it was released first. Btw Lost planet is coming on ps3 in feb i think. If killzone 2 lives up to expectations, mgs4 is a hit as well as GT5 and to a lesser degree socom confrontation, the ps3 could give the wii and 360 a run for its money (which it has already began to do recently). Popular/big exclusives like ratchet and uncharted have been released so the 'exclusive' library is growing. All it needs is Ace Combat 6/7 =P

@BAMF's post on the 360 actually being more expensive. Totally true, especially if you get wi-fi, hd dvd player etc + the LIVE membership fees you mentioned. Also the ps3 is a very cheap blu ray player
