Personally, I like the 1980s more than any other genre. Hooray for flamboyant hair and a bad taste in clothing!!

I like a lot of Rock music too, but nothing beats a good Power Ballad or Anthem.

My favorite musical period was from around 1965 to around 1975. In that 10 year period you get the first Zeppelin and Sabbath albums (I consider them the best), all of Hendrix's career, some great albums from The Who and Pink Floyd, and all of Creams albums. But to pick one decade Im going to have to go with the 1970's purley because thats when I believe Hard Rock blossomed and Metal was formed. 80's had some great metal bands (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth) and the 90's and the 00's saw some nice takes on metal and hard rock (Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, The White Stripes) but they dont compare to the older stuff.

And Grace never and I mean NEVER say that 70's was dominated by Disco!

No doubt the 60's - the era that inspired all other eras afterwards.

70's and 80's were great too, 90's were only good because of Nirvana and the Beasties, and the 00's are chock full o' useless garbage.

Yeah, when I said 90's, I really meant like the first 5 years. Pretty much everything after that is ****.

I love a lot of different types of music, as you all know. I would say the only music I hate is Emo/Screamo/Cut-your-wrists/no-one-loves-me/ear-bleading/lets-name-our-band-after-a-day-of-the-week music, country music, and techno.

My favorite era is probably the 70s, but I like a crap load from the 90s and today. Nirvana and A Perfect Circle are probably the most reputable in my playlist from 90s and 00s respectively. But I love Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Queen and so much more from the era so Classic rock for me beats all.

I'm the only one that voted for 2000's. Nearly all the music I listen to daily has been from the past 6 (almost 7) years.

I voted for 2000. I also love some 1900 pop.

I guess I'd have to go with the 70's and 80's.

To begin,
I do not need to give any detailed explanation on why the "1990's" were the best Music Decade ever. You can't even really explain it to the smallest point, the music was so incredibly produced, and thought up of, that words can't even explain what the hell we were listening to.
