Braces
I was just wondering how many of you have braces, nothing, or a retainer. Dang I forgot to check the poll option thing. Can a mod make it a poll with the 3 options of Braces, Nothing, Retainer please. Thanks.

Erm. I had headgear back when I was like 10. ****ing embarassing that was. The braces were simple, and the retainers are terrible for speech slurring. I'm on the retainers now, and will be off of them for good in a while.
Enjoy not being able to eat with the braces, for at least a week after you get them. They make your teeth and gums ****ing sore, and you cant eat any hard foods. I wanted my god damned steak.

Or, YOU could make the poll? Go to "thread tools" right above your post, then there will be something like "add poll to this thread"
But, I have nothing, perfect teeth, no cavities, or fillings :D

Nothing, and some people tell me I won't ever need anything since my teeth aren't too crooked.

If I hadn't had a little "dental surgery" then I would have needed braces. But lucky for me the dentists snipped out the piece of skin that attaches your lip to your gum, thus stopping my two front teeth from seperating.
Yay me!

I don't have anything on right now, but I did have both a retainer and braces a few years ago. (not at the same time obviously)
My teeth weren't really crooked, but my adult ones were growing before my "baby" (right word?) teeth had the chance to move or fall out.
In total, I wore a retainer for 1 year (had to twist a thing every Thursday), and a regular brace for 1 year. (Supposed to have it on for longer but I moved to the US). Since I was 7 years old, I have had 13 teeth pulled out by the dentist.
It wasn't a bad experience, only for the first few days because the orthodontist (sp?) didn't cut the back wire enough so it was rubbing on the side of my mouth/gum.
It doesn't hurt to have them put it, and it doesn't hurt when they are taken out. It feels great to have them out though! (Fixed braces)
(I see some stereotypical British jokes coming out of this)
