Don't be ashamed of a 250. A 250 is a great starting atv, I had one when I was 10.

Exactly. 250's are some great trail quads because they don't have the massive power of the bigger ATV's. I almost bought a 660 Raptor but I would never be able to trails because of the gear ratio. 1st would be to slow and second would be to fast. I mean the 660 has balls like a Dodge Viper but it is only good on a race track.

However the bigger the utility the better because the power is unleashed on all 4 wheels making for a trail ripping quad.

I come home every day now that's nice out and take an atv out. I have a hard time choosing though! It's either, Polaris Sportsman or Honda Foremon.... I have two main trails I go on, one of them the Polaris seems to do better but the Honda still is great, the other Honda just totally owns Polaris.

Actually Pan, I believe I talked to you a while ago about my ATV. My parents bought two Polaris' a while ago and neither of them have been in the shop. I take that back, we have a odomoder *sp* that was installed, but that was it.

We have rode over 1000 miles and the only thing we have had to do was the oil change. Polais has really good ATVs, but depending on the model and how new the design is, will affect how good it will run.

That is more of an opinion statement than anything because many people would beg to differ.

According to ATV magazine Polaris was one of the worst utility four wheelers you could buy. The number one power hog utility was the Bombardier.

I don't personally agree with magazines on stuff like this. I know ATV magazine has a great reputation for their information, but I was watching the ATV Magazine TV show, and they couldn;t stop talking about the Polaris ATVs for work. They were also talking about the BOmbardier, but they didn't say the Polaris was bad either.]

THey change their mind all the time.

Polaris is not a bad quad but when it is compaired besides others it is not always up to par. Don't feel bad Honda's top of the line utility quad could barly pull anything. They did like a tractor pull type thing and the Honda Rubicon sucked at it. The Bombardier just demolished it. The Polaris came in like 3rd out of 4 so it wasn't that bad but still.
