Do you smoke cigarettes?

I would sooner smoke pot than cigarettes. My grandfather only quit after he had bypass surgery, and my brother is slowly quitting. I can't stand the smell of them and although I don't hate smokers, I don't respect them.

Coming from England, I'm pleased with myself. I used to get offered cigarettes and weed at least twice a week by various people, after a while they get the idea you think they are retarded.

I remember going to my friends house once, I had to literally burn my clothes afterwards. His Mom and Dad never really put them down, constant smoking, chain smoking I think its called?

My Grandad smoked honest to God 30 a day. He had a stroke, still didn't quit. He was then paralyzed on his left side, used to go to the back door and smoke in his wheelchair because of it. He one day collapsed out of his chair, had a heart attack, and died. Cigarette in hand. That put me off for life.

I remember my Brother telling me he did it, when I asked why he told me because he thought he was cool because of it. When I and his friends laughed at him, he felt like an idiot.

Most people my age (17) do it either because their family does it, or their friends do it. I don't know of one person I know from school here who smokes, in England almost all my friends did. Just shows how much it differs between the countries.

I don't think smokers are idiots or anything, but like Big Red said, I have no respect for them, none at all. People who smoke weed, don't even talk to me. (In the real world)

smoking cigarettes is the most pointless addiction ever.. it does nothing to you.. and is terrible tasting.. and its expensive.. though everyone in my house smokes... and im around it all day considering almost all my friends do. i've never even tryed one.. unless i was drunk.. but i can see smoking weed because it makes you laid back.. but thats wayy too expensive (trust me i know from experience)

Dude unless you're a ****ing stoner you don't smoke weed every day, which is their choice because they'll eventually burn out. But most people smoke cigarettes every day, I mean I probably spend more on weed than cigarettes, or the same ammount. You are right, but it depends on the person, some people will just smoke weed every once in a while or every friday or something, but not every day.

That's where most people are wrong, if you actually do it right (which most people don't, they think they are inhaling and they aren't) you'll feel VERY relaxed. And menthols taste good, and cigars, so not everything tastes bad.

I am the Social-only-when-I'm-drunk type smoker these days. When it comes down to it, it's too much of an effort to smoke if you don't want to smoke in your house to go outside and smoke... unless I am intoxicated... then it's worth it. Nowadays 1 pack will last me about a month and a half... I don't drink often either for that matter (despite what Radio may think).

Law school is tough and I think I need as many brain cells as I can for now... I can't wait to kill them later though!

I don't buy that second hand smoke crap... it doesn't do anything to the non-smoker and I hate these anti-smoking regulations that are spreading like wildfire. Watch Penn and Teller's episode of Bullsh*t where they irrefutably debunk that MYTH.

Im 14 but at parties and when im hanging out with a few of my buddies we'll share a cigarette or cigar each. Im no where's near addicted and I only have one once a week or so. More of a social smoker then anything else.
