ehh.. this is iffy its all on personal preference.. but the guy at the gamecrazy down the street from my house said that ps3 was just a black 360.. he said it was like the same exact thing.. seeing as in ps3 is soo much money i wouldnt be suprized if the wii took over

PS3 = true "next gen" console. Launch titles limited, but sony and their developer/partners have a good track record of producing quality games. Blue-Ray will win the battle to become the video standard, mostly because Sony's "late" launch is occurring at a time when nearly every television being sold has High Definition capablilities. This meshes nicely with the PS3's capabilities. Main reason why it will win this round of the console wars: It's not made by Microsoft.

360= teh ghey. Contains 0 "next gen" features. Not very different from the original xbox in terms of internal structure and capability. I hate giving microsoft money. We know they produce great games though. We know this because they keep telling us how great they are.

Socks = Badly overrated as a gaming platform. Secondary functions like keeping feet warm and making fun puppets keep them competitive in the console wars.

It's all about preference. I don't even know what one I'm getting. Getting a Wii for sure but out of those two I don't think I could choose. I'll probably end up getting both...

Socks: Like Rod said, competitive in the console wars by producing games like "VGF, The game", and using the Wii's Mii channel against them. Instead of making your own character like on the Mii channel you make your own puppet..

otter if u were to get a ps3, just wait after christmas, the reason is because a few of the ps3's in the first shipment from where ever the hell might have some kind of glitch, for example i had a friend who got an xbox 360 the first day said it overheated and he was fhuked, so i would just wait until sony gets their **** straight and makes something sufficient and worth 600$'
the Xbox360 sucks and its unreliable cuz its not made by asians

Im going to get a ps3 when they become like the 360 now, when i just walk in, not stand in a line, and pick one up. Ps3 has better graphics than both the 360 and socks combined. Bluray also has more companies backing it up (check the website) and i think it is a better system overall.

Pfft. Join the club and get a 360. Both have incredible graphics, but it's really about the games. I got the 360 because it had more games that appealed to me, and my TV doesn't have HD so the graphics can only be so good.

Give it a year maybe, wait till the price drops, some good games come out, and they work out any potential bugs. Maybe even consider investing in a Wii .

Don't hate on 360, its better then PS3 and besides its made by Microsoft, the company that makes good choices and not messy ones like Sony does all the time, at least Microsoft monitors voice chats and video chats, sony could care less if 5 G*Y dudes were harassing you or stalking you, they could care less if someone hacked your Credit Card, it happened to me on Socom and Sony never did a thing. they just said they can't do anything about that and hung up.

360 contains alot of Next Gen features that sony doesn't have, people just hate on Microsoft and 360, they never had a 360 so they have to complain, and it is very diffrent from the original maybe you want to look it up on the PC.

Last time i checked 360 was taking PS3s exclusives lol, PS3 too much money, they don't provide the service alot of people want, maybe sony fans want but still real gamers want real good service, and for that you should get a Xbox 360 or Nintendo WII
