Same with this. Sam Fisher represents a real person. There are Elite Splinter Cells in the real world that preform missions like Fisher's. Snake is a totally fictional character that is based off of no one. He has unrealistic abilities and weapons. Sam Fisher is as real as you can get. All his weapons are real or are plausible. He is sneaky because in real life you need to be sneaky to get info. If your loud and kill a lot of people your mission is blown and could cause problems with fighting nations. The whole point of Splinter Cell games is stealth to represent the real word of espionage.

You're no fun. Save this topic for the FUN people with IMAGINATIONS, Mr. Realism .

Realism can suck my balls when it comes down to video games. As long as they're fun, it doesn't matter. And there's a lot of realistic things in the MGS series. They just elaborate and change some of these things in order to make the game more FUN.

Wow you can't read for ****. Sam Fisher is based off of Tom Clancy Books but there ARE elite splinter cells in the real world. There are people that go out and preform missions just like Sam Fisher. Solid Snake is no where near based off a real life job. The guy can carry an RPG, HandGun, Rifle, 6 Gernades, a Knife etc. and still run and jump around. You might as well play halo and say that there are people like that in the world too.

Just because Snake's job isnt plausible doesnt mean anything. CIA Agents are 1337 and therefore carry everything they need, including a tank in that fanny pack.

Just because Sam Fishers job is plausible doesnt mean he'll pwn Snake. Clearly if Snake is carrying an RPG and a ton of grenades, BDU's and every gun imaginable, Fisher is ****ed.

The reason they can be compared is that their game types our similar. Sneaking around and espoionage. You are comparing real life counterparts which is just stupid because we are talking VIDEO GAMES here.

I dunno about you guys, but I'd get hella bored if every games tried to be as realistic as possible. MGS is great the way it is, and shouldn't be criticized for not being realistic.
