If you mean in hand-to-hand combat, Snake would destroy Fisher with his CQC techniques. Or even if he didn't have CQC...his punch-punch-kick combo and his takedowns, throws and chokeholds are much better then Fisher's stupid elbows and knees to the back. Snake doesn't have to sneak up on you to kick your ***. Fisher does.

If you mean equipment wise...Snake still one-ups Fisher. Fisher uses radio whereas Snake uses the Codec, that only stimulates the unique bones of his ear, therfore making his communications more secure. And he's got stinger missles, SOCOM pistols, shotguns, assault rifles...and he DOESN'T have to go through real time menus to access them. He's got that equipment box...and the fanny pack for those extra long days in the jungle. Enough said

Why is this even a topic. Its like comparing the Juggernaut (of X-Men) to Go Pre. Both are bulky and strong but the Juggernaut is a fictional character and has unrealistic moves that would own Pre's *** any day.

Same with this. Sam Fisher represents a real person. There are Elite Splinter Cells in the real world that preform missions like Fisher's. Snake is a totally fictional character that is based off of no one. He has unrealistic abilities and weapons. Sam Fisher is as real as you can get. All his weapons are real or are plausible. He is sneaky because in real life you need to be sneaky to get info. If your loud and kill a lot of people your mission is blown and could cause problems with fighting nations. The whole point of Splinter Cell games is stealth to represent the real word of espionage.

So does Snake. Believe me if you start running around running and gunning in any MGS game your gonna get yourself killed. And how does being real make Sam Fisher any better? They are both video games, there is no Sam Fisher and there is no Snake. Snake is based off of certain CIA agents which do some of the same things Snake does (not bringing down Metal Gears of course, or are they? ) Sam Fisher is just based off some Tom Clancy book which are all pretty much the same.

Also, the MG and MGS games would take place in the future(only by a few years though), so they could have been lead to balieve at their time that some of the weapons they were making were plausible. For instance, the Rail Gun on the Metal Gear REX(US Army Metal Gear), it is possible to create one, but it would be unconventional. The amount of power it would take to launch something with a mass equal to an ICBM nuclear warhead, it is just unconventional. I'll post some more stuff later cause I have to go.
