Question for english report

I need to write an english paper and my topic is music. I have to do it on a certain band, explaining their sound, vocals, and overall how I think the band is. I was wondering which of these bands would seem best. If you choose other please suggest the band you think would be good.

Pick Nirvana and how none of those bands out there would not have existed without them and how they single handedley spawned a new type of music (grudge) and pulled rock out of hair medal by the boot straps. Then write a paragraph about how much of a genius Kurt Cobain is. In your report call him a tortured genius.

Oh and I might have slightly exagerated how important nirvana is.

Or you can choose the Red Hot chili peppers and how they are sucessful with their great lyrics with great vocals, fast paced notes and words and the godly bass playing. Call Flea the best bassist ever in your report.

Remember no matter what band you choose say that they are the best band ever. I do this all the time and I have a 97 average in english (no joke)

If you want to write a good report you should stick with the revolutionary bands: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc.

Sure, you can pick one of these...things...and say "they yell loud." but unless your assignment is to specifically describe the band instead of analyzing it, a classic would be much easier.

I like the idea of Pink Floyd, my original idea was UnderOath though. Lets get some more opinion from others.

Pick the band based on how much you can write about them. No sense in doing a band that you don't know anything about.

I agree with Radio, do a band you listen too. If you know them, know their music, then you can most likely write a really good report.

You're an idiot. You know nothing of these bands and are making ignorant statements claiming all they do is yell. Stop posting to save yourself from embarassment.

Pink floyd and all them are great choices, but I think Underoath would be much much more interesting to do. Could talk about all the metaphors in their songs...how they use their keyboard and synthesizer well, could talk about tons of things.

If you would kindly read what I said otter, you'd see my point. These are great if you like them and all you have to do is describe the music. But if you have to analyze their impact, then the more revolutionary bands are better suited.
