The original Socom is, and always will be, the best of the Socom series...

The game required some actual skill, was exciting, and just plain rocked.

Socom 2 came out and sucked in my opinion. I know a lot of Socom veterans that quit when Socom 2 came out because they didn't like it, myself included. They completely changed the gameplay and basically messed everything up, in my opinion.

Socom 1 for life...

And for those that say the gameplay wasn't that fun, I'm assuming you played either: after Socom 2 was released and you played the second first, or you joined in at teh height of all the cheating, which did indeed suck.

If it's not one of those two, then you must be crazy. ;P

DK, this is two socom-related threads I've seen you post in within the last 48 hours, are you feeling ok? :smile:

I voted s2. It was simply amazing. Only a few things wrong: lag, sponging, disconnects really IMO. That's all, the rest of the game rocked hardcore.

I agree with radio a bit with s3, but the game itself still sucks too, on top of people playing like women. Guns aren't accurate at all, the maps flat out blow, no map is addictive at all, I could go on and on.

S2 could keep me all night and not be bored. God I wish I woke up one day and s3 was all a bad dream and s2 was still at it's prime.

SOCOM 1 was awesome as hell but SOCOM 2 kicked SOCOM 1's *** so hard as far as online gaming goes. I enjoyed playing SOCOM 2 at all times of the day everyday. I hated going to sleep when there was a possible clan war available. Oh how I miss Chain Reaction.

Socom II, but only when there was no Socom 3. When Socom II was in its prime that game was great, you could play it forever and it would still be fun. I don't really like playing it that much anymore, though, I'd rather play Socom 3.

yea i agree, but now socom II just sucks *** for some reason, but i still have fun with socom 3 if people i know are on, but i wont just randomly play if no one i know is on, like i would on socom II

S1 wasn't anything super special for me... it was good but not much more... S2 will always have a place in my heart, but S3 is the one I love most... it is the one on which I have been most comfortable with my clan and despite some really big problems it is a very good game

Just to clarify, This isn't your favorite socom right NOW, but EVER.

So in other words, If you feel that the best time you've ever had on SOCOM was in socom 1, but you hate socom 1 now and haven't played it in years, then you should choose SOCOM 1 in the poll.

Oh yeah, and the reason I added mobile recon -and FTB- was that even though I KNEW that noone was going to choose Mobile Recon, and pretty much only someone who didn't have a PS2 would choose FTB, I still feel that if it's a SOCOM, It should be included, and I wanted to make sure everyone could say what they feel on the off chance that they liked one of those two titles.

Socom 2. I think socom 2 sucks now but I spent SO much time on that game and had so much fun I can not possibily choose a different game. So many memories from that game.

Its like the first splinter cell. I spent 10+ hours a day on that game and I can never forget the times I have had. I remember those maps still to this day. The morning routine the people I played with everyday. The strategies I used. I was one of the elite. Same with socom. Can never forget those times.
