The post count loss was our mistake, and it doesn't really directly have to do with the switch; it would have happened either way when Libertine next initiated the counters, which he does every few weeks (usually), but he hadn't done it for a few months.

And I'm glad this poll was made, as it's showing that the majority of people voting are for the change, as opposed to the expected result of being against it.

What I don't understand is why anyone could consider this a really bad thing. The Socom forums are all still in tact and easily accessible, and the forum ranks don't really matter. That's all we changed that's really visible to an end user.

I promise that things will get better as we go.

I vote that I like the change. We can't stay just a Socom forum forever, it's to specific of a forum because every game after time dies out. With the new forums we'll hopefully attract new members with fresh ideas and opinions that we all love. There is many more topics to post under and you can go into a section like Nintendo and talk about the Wii and not get flamed about how it's going to "suck" or something. I'm glad it happened, good move by the Socom staff.

Well when I came back yesturday and started loooking at all the different forums I just got a headache and just left. Today is a bit better cause I know where all the stuff is but its still confusing. I will like it but it will take me some time to get used to it.

I personally love the new forums. We have all the sections from the old site, plus many, many more. When the new theme gets put up, it will make the site even better. I think it will just take some time for those that are not in favor of the switch to get used to it. It may look overwhelming at first, but after you browse a couple of forums, and learn where everything is, you are fine. I think the site looks great, and change is always good once in a while.

I like more SOCOM forums. At the first time, I couldn't find our private forum. I was lost at some times... I like more SOCOM styles. I don't like those console systems title. I still like newer but I found SOCOM forums more easier to find threads, I found pretty "stupid" to found SOCOM sub-forum in a nowhere place in Playstation 2 & 3 Forums. Indeed muk, I lost many posts. But I dont' really mind...

I like it, and sincerely hope the little slogan 2dedicated forums for mature gamers" isn't just posturing as we will probably see a rise in members and with them will come many immature plonkers... the change doesn't suit me as much as some people because I don't play the vast majority of games that come out, but with the new sections and layout hopefully I will be able to read more about games so as there is less chance of the few games I do buy being absolutely crap... sp yup, its a good change

Considering Socom is really the only game I play regularly, I liked the Socom forums better.

I think I'll grow into these though.

But look at everybody's signatures, they are all SOCOM themed (not all but you get my point). Everyone joined here because we all had a common interest in a particular game, but hey, I guess nothing lasts forever, except for terms...

As Long as the same people are on the community it really does'nt matter to me. A majority will still talk Socom if more map packs are released as well as Socom: CA . Before we all know the Holiday season will be here with the PS3 ( Hopefully ) and lots of cool new games, movies, and football. Socom 3 is still the main game I still and will always play, as well as the new Madden 07 and Guitar Hero. Nobody really likes change , but people sure do forget about it after awhile.

I voted it was too early to tell but a change was needed to widen the format a bit so I do like that about it.
