Actually, towards the end of the year Ray Lewis had a wrist injury which caused him to miss the pro bowl.

I really don't want to believe in a Madden "curse", but all the evidence is there. Ray Lewis was the only one that didn't miss any regular season action, and the others had their season's really messed up. It's just a really big coincidence, and an unfortunate one.

Has any one else ever noticed the teams in which the players on the cover are from. They are a superstar from the losing team of the superbowl from the year before. Like Madden 2001, a Tennesee Titan is on the cover, well they lost in the Super bowl in 2000.

Super Bowl in 2002, The Patroits beat the Rams. Who was on the cover on Madden 2003? Marshall Faulk.

Superbowl in 2003, no relation to madden 2004.

Superbowl in 2004, Pats beat the Panthers. Cover of madden 2005, Ray Lewis. No relation again.

Superbowl in 2005, Pats beat the Eagles. Cover of Madden 2006, D. McNabb.

Superbowl 2006, Steelers beat the Seahawks. Cover of Madden 2007, Shaun Alexander.

Now, not all years have had the trend, but alot of them have. We will see, maybe they have come up with a way to pick the team of the player.
