What do you think of the M40A1 snipe rifle?

Great, but too weak in SOCOM 3. They are 1s1k snipers as well in real life, but in SOCOM 3, all they are good for are headshots.

I really liked the M40A1 in Socom 2, and I actually used it during regular games. In Socom 3 I hardly ever use it though, with the exception to respawns, or team kill quick snipe rooms. It is a decent gun, but I just don't like the overall feel it has in Socom 3.

None of those phrases need exclamation points, but that's a different story.

I voted "meh" as well. I wouldn't use it unless I wasn't trying/messing around.

i enjoy using it for screwing around but i also use it here and there also if the other team is camping their hearts out. I said meh.

Its a really good sniper, pitty it only has the medium scope though and not the high. I use it on small maps like citadel, fault, antenora.

I'll ususally use the L96 over it but I do love the M40.

In reality, its is superb... on S3, it is crap... much lighter than the L96 but no high scope... slow fire rate but not one shot kill so it crap comapred ot M82/87 too... 2 shot kill just like the SR25/SASR but slow fire rate so... can you guess what I am gonna say?... it crap in that way too

I use it for messing around on respawns and for when I just decide to camp all I can... with a bipod and medium scope it is super accurate but if you want to move (which I do 99% of the time) it is useless compared to other guns

I just wish it had a highscope because I love it how accurate it is. I use it in respawns and stuff but never when am serious.

if it had a highscope it would be one of my favourite rifles. Quicksniping with it is horrendously tough but other then that it's good. I think the L9 is better though
