Is Halo Overated?

I don't understand how Halo is repetitive and Socom isn't. To me every game gets repetitive after months of it. I haven't played socom all summer and before that, minus about 1 or 2 games where my friends wanted me to play. Halo lasts a LOT longer than socom. It has so many more things you can do.

It has SO much more gametypes, so it's not just suppression (slayer) on every map, demolition(assault) on every map, etc etc..

Plus with the newest playlist added, they're quite a few more gametypes, very weird, but fun ones...

in a way it is. It gets boring after a while but its not like it is the worst game ever made.

That's exactly what I'm saying... How can people think halo is more repetitive than socom? Halo has a ton of matchmaking types, so you don't get a bullsh*t overall ranking, and a bunch of different types of game inside the matchmaking too.

If u are saying that SOCOM is repetitive, I will agree one hundred percent. With SOCOM, you either win this round or lose the next, blah blah blah, and so on.

Take out sniper rifles, the dumb*sses that join the room end up using M16A2's with high scopes.

Yes. And another thing, matchmaking in Halo has a LOT to do with teamwork. That's why entering team slayer and big team battle with a party already set up is usually a good idea so you all know that you can work together. Big team battle has a LOT of teamwork once you get to like level 10. I got to level 24 on BTB and I couldn't go up anymore because you neeeeed a team of people who are all willing to work together. Team Slayer isn't much teamwork except for when you're winning by like 1 with 1 min left so you all hide and nobody on the other team can find you. =p But there is usually always some type of teamwork.

sorry Zech, I am against HALO as well. I just wanted to say that SOCOM 3 is as repetitive as reruns of That 70's Show on FOX.

i say yeah its over rated because all my friends play and they suck. i dont even have the game and i usually finish in the top 3 online when i play at friends houses. i was horrible at sniping, then i started playing socom. i then went to a friends house and noticed huge difference with sniping in halo. i was able to run around and no scope people easily. i also like socom better because of its challenge. its not a game you can get good at over night.

I guess it is sort of overrated, but it's still a good game.

Halo's offline is one of my favourite experiences, and SOCOM's online is one of my worst. Halo's online is SOCOM's online bitching x 100000, but to each his own. Halo is just fun to fun around on, but SOCOM is less fun sometimes as you'll get voted for hindering your team.
