Well if you're going to compare Halo offline to Socom, then at least compare it to Socom offline, because Halo 2 on the hardest difficulty was extremely difficult compared to SOCOM 3 on the hardest. I beat every difficulty in SOCOM 3 in like 2 days and in Halo 2 it took crazy long to beat it on Legendary.
The only reason it was "too easy to kill aliens" is because you were probably playing on easy. GJ kid.

Well the way I see is if you like all that fantasy crap then yeah its a great game but if you like something more realistic then Halo is a garbage.

I was always into realism, that's why I played SOCOM. But after SOCOM 2 I had enough of socom, and socom 3 really just ruined the whole series. Once I played HALO 2 I realized how realism isn't everything, it's just as long as you're having fun. I still like realistic games, I play BF2 and other military-style games, but HALO 2 is always gonna be a flat-out fun game to play.

i've been making the same rants about this game since i've been here. *takes a deep breath*

This game has POTENTIAL. With all the stupid little kids on xbox live constantly yelling on the mic screaming oh yeah i owned you with a sword zomg! into the mic its constantly annoying. Lets see how many things i can list that make the game gay...

-CHEATING: cheating in this game is on a whole different level then ANY socom game. there are people that can change the game. CHANGE THE GAME. they can make themselves fly and have green **** fly out the bottom, instant headshot, infinite health. the possibilities are endless. you know why? because Bungie will say "oh we meant to to that" instead of having to fix anything. Everytime i hear someone complain about glitches in S3 i get mad because we've had so many patches, and Halo 2 has had none to my knowlege. and if it has, they are worse at making patches than zipper becasue frankly, PEOPLE CAN STILL SUPER BOUNCE!.

-INBALANCE OF GUNS: I'm so sick of playing this game and seeing one guy dominate just because he uses a sword shotgun or rocket launcher. Those are the only guns worth using in this damn game, and they just make it no fun. At least in Socom you choose your gun and they choose theirs, someone can't ***** the best gun on the map. Oh, how bout the sniper? You can snipe someone without actually having the crosshairs on their head! Don't believe me? Get your crosshairs in the vicinity of the person and fling your finger and shoot, instant kill everytime. Sniping in that game is a joke, not a skill.

My only praise forthis game: single player. I haven't played it but a few seconds through in coop mode on the original HALO, but I'm a huge fan of storylines and whatnot, and this games is impressive. The only fun i would have on this game would be to play single player.

Thats all i can think of right now i'm sure i'll edit in something but i just woke up and can't think. So for now...

You know most people that don't like the game don't like it because they suck at it...They run out of ammo you know? when they have the rockets and the sniper... to kill somebody with a sniper you have to have that little circle on their head. When playing snipers there is always somebody better than you, how can it be a joke?

Bungie doesn't consider super bouncing as glitching..atleast, not a major one. Look on their site for more details, I read on there something about it.*

The thing you said about sniping can go either way..sometimes my crosshairs are directly on the guys face, I shoot, and they don't even get hit. Other times I swing my crosshairs past the person and shoot and I hit them or kill them.

I'm also pretty sure they released patches. What you're talking about is people who mod their Xbox's, no clue if they can patch that.

As for the inbalance of guns, there are always ways around things. If the guy has a sword or shotgun, get a sniper or BR and kill them from a distance. If they have a sniper, find a way to get close to them and hope they either suck at no-scoping or hope they don't get a lucky shot.

The little kids I agree with. They get annoying. It's not just little kids too, it's also older people around the age of 18, 21, etc. Everyone is guilty of it. Hell, even I'M not that great at the game, and I talk smack..why? To get into people's heads, so it will mess up their gameplay.

Other then that, there's more to the game than just matchmaking. Play some customs, because those are different than matchmaking(people-wise). If you get bored of actually playing, then play some specialty games with people, like zombies, Mike Myers, Cat and Mouse, etc.
Atleast in customs you don't have to worry about some random kid standy-ing, or modding to win.

What is NOT considered a bannable offense by Bungie?


Quitting a game is not a bannable offense. Having a team-killer on your team sucks, but that's not a bannable offense either. Many people are also aware of the "super jumping" phenomenon that allows players on some maps to jump to extreme heights. We are monitoring this situation for long term impacts to game balance but we are not banning people who do this simply because it's too widespread and is something that's basically built into the map. Anyone can do this if they want to though it is difficult to pull off in many cases. We will continue to monitor the impacts this bug has on our game.
