iPOD vs. other MP3

I was wondering what you'd choose, iPOD or MP3.

iPod. There are plenty of other good MP3 players out there that probably cost lest and work just the same, but I like my iPod, and wouldn't get anything else.

I would go for mp3 because it's low price and enough good to hold my favourite songs.

I have had two iRivers (one H10 and one older model) and I prefer them to Ipods. My first Mp3 player was the first iriver and I loved that thing so much. It ended up braking it though and my warranty was up so I got an Ipod to test it out. Within the first week I was having battery problems so I returned it and got a new one. Within another like two weeks it just stopped turning on. I was pissed so I just took it back and got the newer iriver, which has had no problems whatsoever. My sister has an ipod mini that is always having to be fixed too, so I chose different mp3 players.

I got an iRiver but I never use it. I hate the IPods though, I dont know why. They just seem too overated.

If I was going to buy an IPod though I would get the video one, I have got this portable DVR thing that cost a hell of a lot more than an IPod and its great, it plays MP3, videos, records video, stores pictures, stores regular files, etc. It is more expensive (about $700) but that beats the Ipod into the ground.

I got a PSP with a 1 gig stick. Better interface, and more open to formats thanks to Media Manager. The only problem with it is that I wish it got a little louder. Not much louder, just a bit. But thats such a minor issue that I can deal.

Yea I have the same problem with my PSP also. If you cant get it loud enough when watching a movie then my advice is to use headphones. They applify the sound because they go directly in your ear.

You can also get a sound dock like you can for the iPod, I think Wal-mart has them and place like that although I am not sure how much they cost.

My computer speakers also fit headphone sockets so try that. ;-)

My step dad got ripped on those 1Gb sticks, he paid about $125 for one when they were all $80! That was a few months ago, and then about 3 weeks ago my puppy got a hold on it and chewed it to pieces. I am hopefully going to get a 1Gb stick for my own PSP soon, just the only USB cable that works for my PSP is the one I got with my iRiver.

I had an iRiver... It blew.
Whether an iPod costs more or not, I think it is way better. The interface is the simplest and easiest to use, and using it with itunes is very easy (especially on a mac!).

iriver with Napster (the legal one) > Ipods with Itunes
