I LOVE rap! I hope it gets even more popular so my kids will have less competition getting a good job when they're of age.

As for the actual noise, I can't stand it one bit. Rap does appeal to many people so I would never degrade what others see as great. Personally, I just don't see the point. I know there are true rap "artists" who are well respected and I also know that the majority of "rap" is watered down bullcrap.

I also know that most "true" black musicians (bluesmen, jazz, soul, gospel, etc) frown upon the rap world and see it as a degradation of all they have done for the music scene that they basically created.

Rap? I just don't get it :?

I think liking the music is alright. You can like the lyrics, or just how it sounds. But when you live in a VERY nice neighborhood, and you are black or white, and you start dressing gangsta like you live in "the hood" even though you live 3 hours away from the city, it's not right. It is a dumb fad in my opinion, go ahead like the songs, but once you start talking like a retarded to sound like them, or dress like a clown to look like them, it's a bit overboard.
Also, I hate when kids say "oh yeah yo i'm from da bronx" even though they moved out of the bronx when they were 2. :D, dumb.

Me I love rap but i hate modern rock. I like Classic 70s, and 80s rock though. It kicks butt!

Sorry, you sir are wrong. Where you live has NO affect on how you dress. Yes if you live in a nice neighborhood, you tend to see nicely dressed people. People dress how they dress, where you live shouldn't affect it. Myself and plenty of people I know live in pretty nice 'hoods, but we still dress "gangsta", but only to an extent. The way we dress is part of our "black/hip-hop culture". Saying what you said is like saying you shouldn't dress "emo/punk/rocker" if you listen to that type of music, and live in a nice neighborhood.

Nope, because the "Black/hip-hop culture" comes from a bunch of poor guys from the ghetto, GHETTO. Ghetto people can't afford $300 dollar jerseys are $200 "kicks". KThx.

Dude it dont matter what you like it matters on what you can relate to. I personaly love rap cause sometimes I can relate to the artist because ye they might rap about stupid things but sometimes the rap about hard times which all of us gow through. But I hate 50 cent cause all that money has gone to his head because he only sings about how wich he is and **** all them poor guys. I truly think poor rappers have the most and the best to say.
