I voted no, because I don't like the majority of what I hear. All the new rappers just "sing" about sex, drugs, women, killing people, etc. It gets old and extremely boring.

But the bad thing is, these days, most of it is about the ice grills and candy paint. But, I still like it, I know, sad eh? I don't know, I am just too...I don't even know the word. I just know that with my mentality, I shouldn't be listening to this music, but it's too appealing.

Yeah, most of the time when it comes to things like this, it is just the people who listen what they listen to. People listen to something because they like it, and it sounds good, no? Who said you have to relate to it to like it? Who said you have to be a certain skin color to like it? NO ONE! I am mixed(black/white) and was raised around MOSTLY rap/hip-hop/r&b, so inturn, I like rap/hip-hop-r&b, but there ARE the occasional rock or pop songs or whatever, that will come up that I like. I just don't see why people are so worried about everyone else and their opinions, makes no sense. Just live how you live and don't worry about everyone else.

Exactly. I listem to a lot of rock as well, but rap has a lot of good qualities too. I just don't like when high school freshmen run around with red and blue bandanas screaming "Dipset" at the top of their lungs. Then, immediatly afterwards I need to hear a rock song to balance out the garbage I just heard.

I didn't vote. I don't listen to much rap to determine whether or not it sucks. But being as how I don't listen to it much, it probably does suck because everything I listen to is pretty much the greatest stuff anyone can listen to. Since I don't listen to rap, it doesn't fit into the category of being the greatest stuff anyone can listen to. Now excuse me while I go deflate my ego. :smile:

I voted yes because I love rap. I love the beats and most of the time I love the lyrics. I love all types of music but by far Rap is my most favorite. I have atleast 300+ rap songs on my iPOD.
