Gah..I HATE rap..sorry..but IMO it is just horrible music.
"singing" about how much money they have, how much women they banged last night, how "Gansta" they are, and the fact the they think having their teeth look like the front of a car is cool..and how much guns they have..
Rap..honestly, is the worst genre IMO, well most of it..there are SOME decent rappers..such as Eminem..who doesn;t talk about how "Gansta" he is or how much money he has..
But the majority of rappers..suck
Rappers who should burn a slow painful death.
50. Cent
Paul Wall
Their music is so horrible..it should be a sin..

I used to hate it but some rap is good, and some rap is funny. Couldn't hate it forever. It's just like emo, it sucks horribly but has those like 2 or 3 amazingly good catchy songs.

People in 21st centery only like it, because people these days are ignorant, and they think singing about sec, gangs, drugs and gangs is cool..
WHICH ITS NOT
BTW, what are your favourite rap artist? If its 50cent, Paul Wall, or any of that **** then it ain't music.

Rock IS dead. That's why MOST of the time, atleast 6 of 10 songs on the Billboard top 10 chart is a rap or R&B song. It's just taken over. That's why some "rock" bands also RAP. Soez...f0rg3t j00 r4p h4t3rs, f0rg3t j00 h4rd.

lol..
Rock..
Is..
Not..
Dead..
You said 6/10 songs? Thats only a SLIGHT majority.
Also, most of rap takes no talent IMO, rap artist don;t even play any instruments..
So..
Rock takes more talent than rap to..

1) Rap stems from a culture... A way of living.
2) Most (sorry, but I had to say it) of you guys.... "YOU GUYS" haven't grown up in THAT culture.
3) You don't understand the effects of what they say, and you can't relate to what they say.
Here's a lyric:
If there's beef, **** it, and dump it/
The drama really means nothing/
To me, I'll ride by and blow your brains out./
There's no time to **** it/
No way you can stop it/
When ni99az run up on you wit' them thangs out/
To most of you, that's just mindless brainless drivel... Words that encite violence in people. Why? Because you didn't grow up where THEY have. You really DO NOT understand what they've been through, and what they've grown up through...
I've grown up right on Nereid and 238th Street, Bronx, NY, 10466. 5 or so blocks away from 233rd street. Home for the Edenwald projects.... I've seen, and lived what he's said. So I understand what his words signify. To me, he's not an idiot, and he's not "competing to shout out 'ho, ****, *****, mother****er, ****, ****er, ****ing, ****less'" or any of that kind of stuff...
As far as I'm concerned:
1) "If there's beef, **** it and dump it, the drama really means nothin', to me I'll ride by and blow your brains out." means - I been through all of the **** that the hood can throw at me, and I'm still ready to take on anything else that comes my way; so bring all that you got, and don't even bother bringing it easy.
2) "There's no time to **** it, now way you can stop it, when *****z run up on you wit' them thangs out" means - If you keep ****ing with me, and thinking that I haven't earned my status, then I'll put you in your place which is six feet deep.
(I dare you to rhyme THAT, and also make it fit in the timespace that you have for ONE BAR!)
I'll just say this, I can't be mad at any of you for not liking it. But I'm just dissapointed that some would say it takes no talent to show what you've grown up in, and be proud of it.

Wow, that was deep, in a way, I applaud you . I personally have not LIVED what they say, but I have lived AROUND what they say for many years. I know multiple people who do/sell drugs, I know multiple people who shoot/get shot at, I myself have been shot(nothing serious). I know REAL "gangstas" who have the "run the streets all day, I'll sleep when I die" attitude. So I can relate to MOST of what they say.

No, I don't. At least for the most part. Some of the early stuff, I can kind of listen to a little bit. I have friends, that have a rap group, and I like them. Just don't care for their music.LOL
