MGS 1 was a very unique story for it's time, MGS 2 got ruined, but MGS3 had a great story, amazing graphics, and so many cool things to do. 3 gets my vote.

There was nothing wrong with MGS2. In fact, it was a great game with a better storyline.
I liked MGS3 alot better though because the gameplay and storyline was best of all three. There were a lot of contraversies that meant so much to the total story and it was just overall powerful.
And the game for NES is just Metal Gear, not Metal Gear Solid.

I was very disappointed with MGS3:SE. I went out, hoping to get a great CQF/shooting game, and came home with a crappy , slow paced CQF/shooting game. MGS3:SE ended my MGS liking.
I miss the original Metal Gear Solid.

Then you obviously don't know a good game when you play it. Any true MGS fan will argue you about that till they can't speak anymore.

You're right that there was nothing wrong with MGS2, except for the ending. It ruined everything. It made campbell a robot, which means in MGS 1 and 2 you were getting orders from a piece of machinery.

He wasen't a robot. Ocelot was recreating Shadow Moses so he added in Cambell's AI into the big metal gear to help try to recreate everything as closely as possible.
